Right from the time they can walk and talk, kids are told a very specific rule. โDonโt accept candy from strangers!โ
In this video, the creators at Vlog have the hilarious idea of flipping that old rule on its head!
They have a little kid offering candy to strangers out of a van!
They find Elliot, who is often seen in their Vlog Creations videos, to be their creepy van driver.
Elliot is absolutely hilarious and is a natural born actor, he picks up on the joke pretty much instantly and embraces it!
Now that theyโve found their lurer, they go off on the hunt.
The van is nearly perfect.
I think everyone has the same image in mind when they think of the quintessential creep van, but they needed the windows in the back so that the film crew could capture everyoneโs reactions!
So this is as close as they could come to THE white creep van!
As the van pulls up to people around this shopping area, the window rolls down and Elliot pokes his head out.
Imagine being greeted with that face offering you candy.
Hilarious for sure, but also so confusing and with the offer of candy, off putting. I think their first victim captures pretty much everyoneโs reactions perfectly:
Her face alone gives you a pretty good idea of how sheโs feeling!
Another woman gives me one of my favourite reactions in the video where she initially thinks it is kind of cute and playing along, and then delivers this hilarious double take!
But the guy that really takes the cake is the one thatโs just having NONE OF IT. Heโs simply sitting outside enjoying a cigarette when an infant rolls up on him and offers him candy to get in a van. This guy has fantastic survival instinct.
Thatโs all he says. Amazing.
I honestly want to keep this photo of this guy for future reaction images. Itโs just so versatile!
Throughout the video we get a couple clips of the film crew and Ross driving while this is all going on and their reactions to Elliot and his wit are just so wholesome.
They clearly think heโs hilarious!
Itโs really sweet to see these guys having such a good time, although they are also definitely laughing at the confusion and discomfort of others!
So many people have zero idea how to respond to this! This woman below has the confusion clear on her face, although she has some good first instincts!
Iโm impressed that no one is taking the candy! Even if theyโre pretty sure itโs a joke, they arenโt exactly willing to risk it!
One woman, maybe just a cook on break, is refusing to take the candy, when Elliot asks her what she likes to which she says (with some sass)
Elliotโs response is my favourite part of the video. Heโs just so quick witted and has great delivery!

Yeah, thatโs a cop. Theyโre told that they probably shouldnโt be driving around with Elliot on their lap and they accept. The prank was fun while it lasted!
They finish the video off with making sure they know Elliot knows what to do in a situation where someone he doesnโt know offers him candy or tries to talk to him. Wholesome!
