Moms are just great. No matter what pain you’re going through or how sad you’re feeling, they are always there to save the day. They will lift you up and make things a whole lot better.

And the same goes for the Duchess of Cambridge. Despite having her hands full in meeting her royal duties, she’s still able to be a mom to her three lovely kids.

Kate Middleton was in attendance with Prince William and their kids in the celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s birthday. Along with many royals, they went down in carriages before gathering on the Buckingham Palace’s balcony to watch the impressive show of planes.

Princess Charlotte and Prince George were alongside Savannah Phillips, the Queen’s granddaughter. They were clapping and giggling around which is very typical for kids their age. These three are often seen together in events so it’s no surprise that they were bundled together for the Queen’s celebration, too.

She was wearing a dress that matches the Duchess of Cambridge’s ice-blue gown made by Alexander McQueen. She really looked like her mom’s mini version.

However, it wasn’t just her looks that caught people’s attention during the ceremony

She was peeking over the balustrade to see what was going when she lost balance and slightly feel backward. She shed a few tears for that.

Good thing Kate was just right by her. With lightning reflexes, she was able to scoop up her little girl and wipe her tears. And to comfort her little daughter, she bent down a little to talk to her. Then, she took her into her arms and the little princess quickly recovered.

After a while, Charlotte was able to ease up and enjoy the remainder of the celebration.

Clearly, it was all thanks to her mother

This isn’t the first time Kate comforted her child in public. Just last year, Princess Charlotte fell into a tumble while they were touring in Hamburg.

At first, it looked like Charlotte was about to end up in a tantrum but with Kate’s quick reflexes and awesome distraction techniques, the little girl was able to get back to her normal self.

Royal children may fall, cry, and throw tantrums, too. And despite the status of their parents, they are still able to be there for their kids whenever needed. Princess Charlotte is an obvious proof that kids, no matter what their status in society is, need a mother they can turn to.

About Trooping the Colour

The Queen celebrates her birthday with a ceremony known as Trooping the Color. It’s been a tradition since the 17th century.

The ceremony, which is annually held in London on a Saturday, brings together about 1400 parading soldiers, 400 musicians, and 200 horses. At the event, they display an impressive military precision and horsemanship to mark the Queen’s birthday. A 41-gun salute is performed after the parade.

Now, even though everyone celebrates her birthday through the ceremony, the Queen’s actual birthday is April 21st. And this year, she just turned 92.

Despite her age, you can’t really see the Queen slowing down. In fact, she’s as gorgeous as ever. Wearing her usual bright color that elongated her petite frame, she’s never too dull to look at.
