After a hard day’s work, getting yourself a sweet treat can be one of the best things to do as a reward to your dedication. Clearly, this is also applicable to animals especially K9 unit dogs who work really hard alongside the police force to maintain peace and safety in the neighborhood. In the Fishers Police Department in Indiana, a police officer could only think of one sweet treat that would make his dog feel rewarded. And that is none other than ice cream!
As the work day was about to end, this Fisher Police Department officer thought of something to reward his K9 dog with. When he saw Handel’s Ice Cream and Yogurt shop by the street, he knew exactly what his buddy dog would love to have.
When the hard working dog saw where his police officer partner was taking him, he joyfully jumped up and down in anticipation of the sweet treat. His energy was palpable and he can barely contain his excitement!
The dog actually broke into a run when he saw the ice cream shop. His absolute joy in what he was about to get was completely fun to watch.
As he got near the counter, the employees were quick enough to prepare a vanilla cone ice cream for the animal. When the dog reached the counter, he quickly grabbed the cone and ate with so much gusto.
Everyone watching the event had a smile pasted on their faces. The dog’s happiness was definitely hard to miss and they simply cannot fight the urge to smile along. Who wouldn’t, right?
The dog was obviously delighted by the treat and wanted to eat it all of it as soon as his paws came in contact with the sweet vanilla ice cream. He totally deserved his reward! We all know how hard these dogs work in order to give us a peaceful neighborhood.
Across the United States, both police officers and K9 unit members work hard side by side in order to make sure that peace and order is maintained. The dogs in the K9 unit are primarily needed to sniff bombs in cases of threats. They are also capable of discovering drugs hidden deep inside seemingly normal items.
For years, this partnership in the police department has helped in saving a lot of lives from being ruined because of drug abuse or threats due to bombs and terrorism. We certainly have a lot to thank for just because we have these police officers and amazing dogs behind our backs, incessantly giving their best to give us all a safe community.
A simple treat to this hard working member of the K9 unit definitely goes a long way. It is actually just a simple way to thank these dogs for their hard work, but their excitement is always going off the roof, to say the least. This fact makes us even more thankful that these animals are around to help in providing us with a safe and protected surrounding.
These dogs absolutely deserve to get a much earned treat every now and then. These animals find total joy even in these simple ways that we pay them back for their work and by remembering their help in the community, we get to give these dogs the credit and recognition that are rightfully theirs. It may just be ice cream, but to these sweet animals, they are receiving more than just a treat but a confirmation that we are thankful for them being around.
