Yes, you read that correctly.
Meet Jango Fett the German Shepherd (shoutout Star Wars).
He’s not much of a morning dog. But he is absolutely adorable.
Some days are harder than others.
Every now and then it’s hard to muster the want to get out of bed.
But ignoring the alarm clock isn’t much of an option for most.
The same’s true for Jango Fett!
You see, he’s a member of the Anne Arundel County Police force in Maryland.
This morning, he has no motivation whatsoever.
His human companion and local police officer Ryan Costin has a situation on his hands.
Fortunately, it has nothing to do with crime. Far from it.
He’s ready to get to work, crossing his vibrant green yard towards his black police SUV. It’s time to go.
Duty calls.
Today’s a lazy day. Jango Fett’s just not having it.
No, not at all.
The darling dog refuses to budge, plopping right in front of the open vehicle.
He’s not going to work… at least not until certain conditions are met.
Officer Costin texts his wife Cassie, who’s nestled in the comfort of their home. She needs to see this.
Fortunately, she records the entire exchange for all to see. And we’re oh so grateful.
So what’s going to change Jango Fett’s mind?
A dog treat?
No, that won’t work.
Jango Fett just needs a little bit of love before starting the day.
As for now, he’s adamant in his abstinence.
Cassie gives a detailed explanation of what’s happening on Facebook:
“I don’t typically make personal posts, however, when you think that you are having a rough morning or don’t want to go to work, watch this video to motivate you! This is my husband and best friend Deputy K9 Officer for AACO Sheriff Dept., Ryan Costin and our canine Jango Fett; trying to go to work.”
Officer Costin knows just what to do.
