Singing is an important way for children to grow. Through music, babies are able to practice their language skills, workout their vocal chords, and bond with those around them. This little girl has the best singing partner ever.
Lexi is only 10 months old, but she is already quite vocal. She loves to talk, but more than that she loves to sing. Her favorite singing buddy is her pet dog, Angel.
Angel is a big husky with an even bigger heart. When she first heard Lexi singing, she quickly joined in on the fun. She adores her tiny human, and she cherishes the time that they spend together.
One day, while Lexi and Angel were singing, Dad decided to grab his video camera. The two were staged in the middle of the hallway, and they were ready to put on a show.
Lexi took over the first few lines, while her husky friend completed the chords with a loud howl. His timing was perfect – he waited until Lexi was completely done with her part before starting in on his solo.
The two seemed to be in harmony with each other. Angel would mimic Lexi’s sounds: the more time she took to perform her lines, the longer the dog’s howls would become. The pup even varied the tone of her voice to sound like she was forming words – just like Lexi.
The pair made quite the team. Angel would always wait for the little girl’s cue before busting out lines of her own. She even looked over at Lexi whenever silence fell over them. She didn’t want to go on in the song without her little human accompanying her.
Toward the middle of their melody, the two came to a pause. The dog looked expectantly at the baby girl; it was as if she was waiting to receive her next directions. Once little Lexi was done giving commands that were only intelligible to the husky, she turned toward the camera to perform again.
This time the howls were much more energetic. It seems as though Angel truly understood what her tiny owner was saying. As the two continued their duet, it became clear that their bond went much deeper than the human eye could see.
The performance faded out as spontaneously as it had begun. Lexi slowly shifted her attention toward her play area. When she was done with her big debut, Angel returned to her role as the family pet.
This adorable video is just one example of the many reasons it is a good idea to get your child a companion animal. A dog’s love, loyalty, and friendliness is the perfect combination for a growing young mind.
