Weddings are filled with traditions. Even if someone steps outside of the box, they still usually incorporate something you’d see in a normal ceremony. These include things like exchanging wedding rings, giving a toast at the reception, and of course, the couple’s first dance.
But there’s another tradition known as the “bride’s first look.” For this, someone, usually a professional photographer, snaps a photo of the bride and groom as they see each other right before the start of the ceremony. The groom gets to see his soon-to-be-wife in a flowing wedding gown while she sees him in a handsome tuxedo.
Love is in the air
The “bride’s first look” has been around for years. Often, this photo is the one couples hang in their homes as it shows the gleam in their eyes and smile on their faces as they look lovingly at one another.

Many people agree that how a couple acts while dating or engaged says a lot about how they’ll do as husband and wife. For instance, if two people have a great sense of humor, they’ll likely have a marriage filled with laughter and fun.
Pulling pranks
Some couples go as far as to pull pranks on each other…as often as they can. As you can imagine, the means there are always funny surprises throughout the marriage. It’s all in the name of love.
One bride couldn’t resist
Finally, one bride’s wedding day arrived. But as someone who loved to prank her future husband, that didn’t mean he got a pass. Nope…she simply included the prank as part of her “first look.”
The video went viral
In a video that’s now been viewed more than 2.3 million times, you know it’s funny. It starts out with the groom patiently waiting for the bride to reveal herself before they exchange vows. But instead of her walking out, a man in a wedding dress slowly makes his way toward the groom.
Everyone is cracking up…
…except for the groom. He stands there looking very stoic. After all, this is a very special moment, one that’ll stick in his mind forever. At one point, and before the “bride” reaches the groom, there’s a slight adjustment needed. The guy in the wedding dresses fixes a very important part of the dress, making sure everything is in proper place. What a hoot.
He can’t contain himself
Initially, the man dressed up as the bride keeps a serious look on his face. But as soon as he’s directly behind the groom, he looks off to his right, trying hard not to laugh. At the same time, the groom smiles but only because he can feel the presence of his bride.
The big reveal
As the “bride” gently places “her” hand on the groom’s back, he slowly turns around. But instead of the beautiful woman he proposed to, he sees this.
Best surprise ever
The groom immediately bends over, laughing hysterically. That’s when the man dressed up as the bride joins him. They’re both doubled over from something that’s beyond funny.
He can’t compose himself
The groom is so tickled in the moment that he can’t even get himself composed. In true diva fashion, the faux bride flips the veil back.
Down he goes
This prank is so good, the groom eventually falls to his knees. The entire time, him, the fake bride, and the entire bridal party standing in the door is laughing super loud. Oh my gosh, this is a classic. And even better, this all happened to Maroon 5’s song, Memories.
Looking forward to having children
As soon as the groom can stand, the man dressed up as the bride looks at him…face to face. That’s when you hear him tell the groom, “I can’t wait to have babies with you.”
