Horses are majestic creatures, and they have been great companions known to man since ancient times. They are also intelligent, and they could pick up some tricks that you teach them. This video might just prove to you that they deserve just as much attention as cats and dogs!

As you can see, this horse had no problems showing the world that he can dance, but what are they dancing to anyway?

The dance style in question? Line dancing!

A line dance is described as:

“a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows, all facing either each other or in the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time.”

Cowboys love to line dance! What better teacher for a horse than a cowboy!

These cowboys were dancing to the song “Achy Breaky Heart” until a horse joins in.

Line dancing by yourself is never fun. When they begin dancing, they start off simple – you can’t show all your cards right in the beginning! A couple of dancers dressed up in a cowboy outfit appeared in front of the field, and behind them is a horse accompanied by a cowgirl rider. As the music began, they all stepped side by side, front and back in unison. Of course, you’d be surprised seeing how the horse knows the routine and follows the dancers in the line dance.

Moving forward and backward, this horse doesn’t even break a sweat!

It is easy to say that the horse might be controlled by its rider, but apparently, that doesn’t seem to completely be the case. The rider may give hints to the horse about what to do or where to go, but at some point, the horse already knows what’s next. That just means that the horse really knows how to bust his moves along with the catchy rhythm.

After completing a full circle, the horse gets a pat of appreciation.

The horse magnificently finished a whole dance along with his buddies and he was awarded with cheers and claps for his performance. You know that he really deserves the appreciation from his audiences. The awesome thing about this horse is that it didn’t have to do a bunch of fancy footwork, it simply moved in time with the other dancers! This horse probably gets an award for this.

If you think about which animals know how to “dance”…

While we might originally think that humans have exclusive rights to dancing, we would be wrong! Tons of other animals “dance,” even if it isn’t what we are familiar with.

Ants are some of the most OG dancers out there.

Ants communicate through dancing! If you have ever wondered how an ant can find its way into your home and within 10 minutes, a line of ants is leading to a crevice in your house, you have dancing to thank for that.

When an ant finds some food, it goes back to its colony and does a little jig to let everyone know where to go.

In a bizarre version of interpretive dance, ants shake and jimmy to tell exactly where the secret passage into your home is. When the news is out, ants all across the colony form up and dance to let everyone know. The only thing left for you to do is to call an exterminator!

If ants can dance, so can horses!

For ants, it could be used for communication, but this horse has proven that he could bust some dance moves for the sake of his own enjoyment. It is simply amazing how his dancing skills rival those of most humans.
