Reporters run into some pretty interesting situations. For example, the time that one foreign reporter kept getting harassed by a horse while he was trying to do a report on horse races.
The video of his failed attempt at doing his broadcast is one of the goofiest things we have ever seen.
“Horses races may be magical,” the man says in the video.
However, before he can even finish his first sentence, the horse behind him immediately reaches its head over the gate and begins licking him.
The reporter has a good laugh about it. After all, it is a pretty funny situation. However, there is still work to be done.
He does his best to regain his composure and then starts the report over again.
On this attempt, he gets slightly further with his lines.
“Horse races may be magical, however, there are more types of races where the horses have the leading role,” says the reporter.
Before he can get on to sentence two though, the horse once again interrupts. The horse reaches its head over and this time goes straight for the microphone. The horse has never been on television before and doesn’t know that you are supposed to wait until you are asked a question before reaching for the microphone.
The man starts laughing, and then mentally prepares himself for round three.
“Today we’ll talk about ‘Dressage’, which stands for horse riding skills,” says the man.
On his third try, he ignores the horse and manages to get all the way to sentence number two. However, the horse obviously doesn’t like that the man’s focus is elsewhere. It decides to bite the reporter’s ear to get his attention. “@#$@ you’ll get my ear!” the man exclaims in surprise.
At this point, trying to finish the report is pretty much a lost cause.
It quickly becomes apparent that the horse has a huge crush on the reporter and is never going to leave him alone long enough to finish his short broadcast.
The final straw is when the horse takes a big gulp of water.
It reaches his head over the gate and starts dripping the water out of its mouth next to the man. He jumps forward to avoid getting splashed. Then decides to pack it up and call it a day.
“What is that? Does it drink water? That was what I needed now…” he says.
It’s safe to say that this is one report that is never going to see the light of day on television.
However, the goofy clip certainly makes for a pretty funny YouTube video. To date, the failed report has received over three million views as well as thousands of likes. It seems the Internet is enjoying the video just as much as we did.
“Legend has it that they’re still trying to film,” one YouTube user commented almost a year later.
We wouldn’t even be surprised, either. The horse is relentless and pretty much any time the man makes any progress in his report, the loving animal can’t help but interrupt. Maybe one day though, the man will eventually be able to finish, but for now, the winner is clearly the horse.
