Living with a roommate has tons of benefits. You’ll never be lonely because you will always have someone to talk to, you have someone to share the rent and utility payments with, and you get to share the chores.
But of course, sharing a house also have its downsides. It’s sometimes hard with strangers that have a different lifestyle from you, or someone who’s messy or doesn’t pay the rent on time.
And there’s always the pranksters. From clowns in the toilet, tin foil-wrapped bed, a scary mask, and hidden rooms, here we have compiled a list of the top 12 funniest and sometimes mean roommate pranks.
1.) Surprise!
This is just mean. Imagine having the worst diarrhea and this is what you see when you’re about to poop. You’ll have to say goodbye to two things after that: your roommate and the underwear you were wearing.
2.) Sugar is a source of energy
This prank is harmless. You’re thinking that “it’s just candy” and that’s where you’re wrong. When those candies melt, you’ll have more roommates – ants.
3.) Wiping the smile off your face
This is actually a smart reminder to your roommate who always forgets to change the tissue paper. People sometimes need to be constantly reminded of something before they actually do it. Although this guy most likely had a lot of spare time to be drawing that and rolling the tissue back.
4.) This will definitely produce nightmares
The owner of the mask said that before lending this mask, his friend wore it and just stared at him for a couple of minutes. He eventually got spooked and was frantically running all over begging him to stop. This scary mask looks so real that it became too creepy.
5.) Never be the first one to pass out at a party
You know that they say at parties – never be the first one to pass out. He’s incredibly wasted though to sit still like that. Actually quite impressive too.
6. Well, he has a point
I told my roommate he was putting the tp on backwards and then I find this.
His roommate saw an opportunity and hilariously seized it. Instead of arguing with his roommate, he instead punched a hole across the tissue paper and placed it like this. What waste of toilet paper though!
7. My roommate’s pranks are subtle but powerful
Sometimes the simplest pranks can be the most difficult to deal with. Unless he has an extra pair of scissors, good luck on removing that zip tie. One commenter even shared a tip in easily removing it do the same prank to his roomie.
8. Secret “stache”
If this doesn’t make your day, then nothing else will. This genius pun isn’t exactly a prank but it deserves a place in this list because of how witty it is and how much effort has been made. Apparently, this dude moved out 5 months ago and got so excited when his former roommate asked him about this.
9. Stranger danger!
Imagine half-asleep in the middle of the night and you see this sitting on your toilet. This prank is brutal. Pretty sure he immediately woke up his roommate after almost having a heart attack.
10. DeFrosty the Snowman
Makes you wonder if this is a scene from a Christmas movie or not. This guy’s roommate looks like he had too much fun in defrosting their freezer. Should have added more snowman though!
11. Scary Snowman
Another snowman entry but this time, this one looks more sinister. His roommate must have a pretty hard time waking up at 4 am, so imagine his reaction when he saw this waiting for him. Wonder if they’re still living together?
12. Didn’t work out
Makes you wonder why his housemate left without saying goodbye and left Eric Cartman to inform them that he’s leaving. Must have not gotten along with his roomie or got into an argument. One thing is for sure, they’re not friends!
