Not everything in life turns out as planned, and every once in a while, the higher beings will throw you a curveball just to test you. One bunny breeder was put to the test when, amongst his newest litter of little fur balls, was a hairless rabbit.

Mr. Bigglesworth is already two-months old, yet is still as hairless as the day he was born, save for a few patches of tuft on his tail and snout. His breeder was going to put him down, but fortunately, he was saved by a Ms. Cassandra Hall, from Wodonga in Australia, who read about Mr. Bigglesworth on Instagram and decided to adopt him. According to Cassandra, Mr. Bigglesworth with start to grow tufts of hair and then, in the days immediately following the growth, it will randomly fall out again.

Mr. Bigglesworth may not be the typical Peter Cotton Tail, and he may have been born different than the rest of his littermate, but does different mean that he didn’t deserve to live? Certainly not! Like all creatures who are different, Mr. Bigglesworth still has a beating heart, a conscious and a personality all of his own.

Today, the lucky little rabbit enjoys hopping around his Australian back-yard (who wouldn’t?!), plays with his many rabbit (and non-rabbit friends) and even wears tiny little sweaters and hats when the days get cold. In addition to being hairless, he is small enough to fit into a coffee cup. Occasionally, you’ll find him at the keyboard, helping his mom work. If that’s not a recipe for immediate social media stardom, I don’t know what is.

Mr. Bigglesworth has more than 16K followers on Instagram. Cassandra cares for him just as well and completely she does her other two floppy-eared friends, Loafy and Danny. Loafy, a lop-eared rabbit and Danny, a whippet, are also rescue bunnies and occasionally make an appearance on Mr. Bigglesworth Instagram as well.

If you check out Mr. Bigglesworth Instagram page, you will see him star in his very own photoshoots, many of them garden and Easter themed. He even dons a flower crown in many of the pictures. Most recently, Mr. B was on Instagram, sending his love to Hurricane Irma victims in the South East U.S.

At the end of each caption on Mr. Biggleworth’s photos, Cassandra includes the same phrase: “Mr Bigglesworth may be different but we love him the way he is, please no negativity.”

Mr. Bigglesworth may have been born different, but I’d say he came out on top in the end. With a caring owner who loves him, a host of furry friends and Instagram stardom, it looks like Mr. Bigglesworth’s future is bright. He just goes to show you that you can never–and should never–judge a book by its cover.
