The ladies took to their chairs slowly. No one could believe the moves they did next.
A bassy song started playing in the theater.
Then an old lady slowly made her way across the stage. Another old lady followed her, pushing another old lady forward in a wheelchair.
Eventually, nine ladies and one man were on the stage. They all sat down and faced the audience.
The music changed to Let’s Get It Started In Here by The Black Eye Peas. The ladies started moving their hands to the music. Some of them put their hands to their ears, as if struggling to hear the music.
Once more the music changed, this time to Low by Flo Rida.
Now the ladies started bopping on their chairs. Then one of them in the middle stood up, lifted her cane into the air and moved more enthusiastically.
Then another one got up to join her.
Soon, these two were strutting their stuff, much to the delight of the audience.
The other ladies still sat but moved more enthusiastically.
Then one of the two ladies that were stood up moved down low when the lyrics instructed her two. She struggled to get back up.
Luckily, the other lady helped her.
These two ladies shuffled back to their chairs.
Then another two stood up, and the music changed again, this time to Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) by Silento.
They danced for a little while for the audience before making their way back to their chairs.
As they made their way back, two more ladies stood up and walked forward, one of them on a walker.
They danced to Work by Rhianna. The one old lady even got so into the song that she lifted her walker up into the air.
Then another lady and a man took these two ladies’ places and moved to Sugar Hill Gang’s Apache (Jump On It.)
The man struggled to move, but the lady really did the song justice!
Then an old lady pushed the lady in the wheelchair forward.
The standing lady strutted her stuff to Wobble by V.I.C. The lady in the wheelchair moved as much as she could.
Then the standing lady pushed the other lady’s chair around.
Eventually, they went back to the line of chairs. Then everyone stood up and danced off the stage in a line.
The crowd cheered. But many more people would end up loving this performance.
The footage of the dance appeared on YouTube, where it soon went viral. To date, it has gained over 2.3 million views. It also has more than 9,100 likes.
Clearly, these dancing grannies have made many people happy online!

At first, the old lady and her dancing partner perform a slow ballroom dance. But then it kicks up a notch. Soon, the man spins the lady super fast. And the judges realize that they were watching something special. The rest of the routine astounded them.
