Rufio is a clever therapy dog who lives with his mom in Chicago. While Rufio is a hard-working boy, he enjoys playing too. And his favorite place in the world is the pet store.
During one trip to the pet store, Rufio really didnโt want to leave. The way Rufio showed his displeasure at leaving was so funny that his mom had to film it.
Rufioโs mom then shared the footage on Instagram, and itโs hilarious!
People arenโt the only ones with the ability to become internet famous.
There are tons of animals whoโve stolen our hearts online because of their cuteness and/or talents.
Who can forget the adorable face of Grumpy Cat (R.I.P.), or the beagle Buddy Mercury who sings and tickles the ivories? Well, Rufio the Golden Retriever also has impressive social media stats with more than 254,000 followers on Instagram (not bad, right?).
Rufioโs mom runs his account with the name, livingthatgoldenlife, where she shares photos of his journeys as an urban dog.
According to his website (yes, he has one of those too), heโs the Windy Cityโs โhottestโ pooch. On top of being featured by major publications, Rufio also gets recognized while hitting the town.
But itโs not all fun and games for this fella. Rufio is also a certified therapy dog that lends his paw to helping others.
A lot of us have specific stores that we could spend hours shopping at. Some like ones at the mall, others enjoy thrift shops, and for pooches โ itโs hard to say no to a trip to the pet supply store!
There are pet retail stores across the country that allow your four-legged friends to join you while shopping. With all the sights and smells that go along with them, itโs understandable why theyโd have a blast too.
Apparently, Rufio really likes going to the pet store like countless other dogs. In fact, he enjoys it so much that one day he just couldnโt say goodbye.
But how do you delay having to leave even though momโs ready to go home? Simply lay down on the floor and refuse to budge an inch!
In the video, Rufio can be seen laying down on the ground of the pet store with his leash attached.
Mom gently tries pulling him, but instead of him jumping up, he hilariously slides across the smooth surface!
A couple of moments later he digs his paws in even more by laying on his side. He looks at mom with eyes that perhaps are saying, โSee, you canโt make me!โ or โPleeeeaaaseโฆ Just one more loop?โ
Even when his owner sweetly says, โTime to go, Rufio,โ it doesnโt make him move.
But can you really blame him? A dog being in a giant pet store is like having a kid in a candy or toy store. Surely, there have been many parents whoโve seen tantrums leaving those!

Rufio is a sweet dog who knows what he likes and isnโt afraid to say it. Hopefully, he got to go the pet store again soon after this video.
