Dogs are the best. Itโ€™s something we hear often because, well, itโ€™s true.

Theyโ€™re our biggest supporters and most fierce protectors. While there are many different breeds, one of the most popular is the Golden Retriever.

Golden retrievers are known for their patience, gentleness, and intelligence. They get along with just about everyone and just about everything, including other animals.

There are many videos that show golden retrievers displaying all of these traits. However, one video stands out as a great example of a fun-loving relationship between human and dog.

Musician, Drew Cole, and his dog, Bailey, have been thick as thieves over the years.

Bailey proved to be one of Coleโ€™s biggest fans as sheโ€™s appeared in several of his videos on YouTube. In fact, a video Cole posted in 2011 helped catapult his career as it showed Bailey genuinely enjoying him playing his guitar.

The video has over 14 million views, making it a viral hit.

Whether dogs actually enjoy music has been a topic of debate. But this video alone could answer that age-old question.

In this video, Bailey is seen bobbing her head and even smiling when Cole strums his guitar. Ironically, the moment he stops, Baileyโ€™s smile goes away and she looks at him as if to ask, โ€œWhy did you stop playing?โ€

Itโ€™s both hilarious and intriguing.

Thereโ€™s no question here whether Bailey is enjoying the music or not. Watching Bailey โ€œdanceโ€ to the music and then stop when the music does is like watching a version of musical chairs, minus the fight for territory.

The tune that Cole plays is more of an upbeat, catchy piece that might even compel viewers to bob their heads as well.

Towards the end of the video, Cole changes the rhythm and even starts and stops in succession to emphasize Baileyโ€™s love of the guitar even more. Needless to say, itโ€™s quite evident.

At one point she seems to understand what heโ€™s doing and doesnโ€™t fall for it until he plays more than one note.

Bailey is a smart dog and seems like such a joy to be around.

Unfortunately, Cole announced Baileyโ€™s passing in the comment section of the video last year in addition to his Facebook page.

โ€œHey everyone, sad news. Bailey passed away peacefully this morning. Sheโ€™s in doggy heaven now. She had a great life, thank you all for being part of it with me. Bailey will always love you all!!!โ€

Though it is always a challenge to lose a beloved family member, he received several condolences from his supporters.

Fortunately, Bailey was around as Coleโ€™s music career began to take off. In fact, he attributes the video with Bailey as the reason for his musical success.

In 2017, he competed in the 14th season of NBCโ€™s hit singing competition show, The Voice.

Cole landed on Adam Levineโ€™s team and went all the way onto the Live Playoffs.

Though he didnโ€™t go on to win the show, he and his dog won the hearts of many.

He currently resides in Los Angeles and works as a bartender. However, he is still going strong as a musician and continues to write and record songs.

Most recently, he uploaded a rendition to New Radicals 1998 hit song, โ€œGet What You Giveโ€ on his YouTube channel.
