Compared to other animals, dolphins are believed to be very intelligent. They often display attitudes that make them accessible in human culture. They can also be seen jumping out of the water, riding waves, play fighting, and occasionally interacting with humans swimming at the seashores. These intelligent creatures communicate with each other by clicking, whistling, and different sounds. Also, they have excellent eyesight and hearing as well as the ability to use echolocation for finding the exact location of objects.

Formerly, relationships with dolphins were in their natural habitat, but with technological advances, humans have the power to keep them captive in environments similar to their habitats. However, advanced research always tries to observe animals in the wild as their behavior changes.
The nature of the dolphin-human relationship has been a massive question to humans. Do dolphins have an unusual desire to seek out human contact? Many scientific experiments have been done on this question, and the results show that there is no doubt that these animals are exhibiting challenging behavior. This, in turn, lends weight to the idea that dolphins do seek out human contact with some often.

The relationships between dolphins and humans can be fascinating, and they can both occur in the wild and captivity. In the wild, dolphins have been seen rounding up schools of fish to indicate to the fishermen where to place their nets. There are also incredible stories of dolphins coming to the rescue of divers or boaters that have experienced troubles. In captivity, the continuous interaction between dolphins and humans for training, research, or the contact for physical and emotional therapy creates strong bonds with the dolphins.

There are multiple reasons to keep dolphins in captivity, according to humans. These dolphins live day-to-day with people either in water parks, aquariums, reserves, or similar places. At water parks, they are trained to perform several tricks that use their natural ability for the enjoyment of an audience that goes to see them in a show or to swim with them.
The main motive of keeping dolphins in aquariums is for sightseeing, humans the aquarium to see dolphins and directly or indirectly communicate with them. The video reference for this project shows a woman displaying some acrobatics in the line of sight of a dolphin. The dolphin appears to be smiling at the woman’s display, but don’t be misled by the dolphin’s ‘smile.’ Most dolphins just happen to have a natural upward curve of their mouth; this makes them look like they are smiling, then creates the illusion that they are always happy. The dolphin’s smile is nature’s greatest deception. What then could have caused the dolphin’s enthusiasm? This leads us back to the dolphin-human bond. Dolphins draw happiness from the relationships they foster with humans. They show their interest through actions such as ‘spy-hopping’ in which they would peer above the surface to look in the direction where their trainers usually approached. They also become more active, and they spend more time around the dolphinarium’s edge. This behavior exhibited by the dolphin in the video reference; that is the observed enthusiasm was as a result of the bond with the woman, and not the deceptive smile.
