And the award for โWorst Timing of an Inappropriate Commentโ goes to Greg Gutfeld of Fox News.
Gutfeld, a panelist on Fox Newsโ The Five made a joke on Thursday implying that his co-host, Kimberly Guilfoyle, was making America โexcitedโ with her dress.
And the timing couldnโt have been worse for Gutfeld, as the network had just announced the firing of Bill OโReilly for sexual harassment earlier that day.
The segment started innocently enough.
The panel was discussing enforcement of immigration laws when Bob Beckel got his feathers ruffled over his comments not being taken for facts.
Guilfoyle teased Beckel, saying, โWaah, waah, crybaby. Call your camp counselor.โ
Beckel quipped back, โCall your dressmaker.โ
โAnd give him a raise,โ Guilfolye remarked, showing off her well-made dress. โThatโs what Iโm saying. Thatโs what Iโm saying.โ
Thatโs when Gutfeld joked, โYou are giving America a raise.โ
Guilfolye laughed uncomfortably, replying, โOh my god.โ
The other female panelist, Dana Perino, didnโt look too happy about the remarks.
