What’s the most adorable proposal you could possibly imagine?
Does it involve flower petals on a quiet beach or a diamond ring at the bottom of champagne flute at your favourite restaurant? Maybe at the top of a mountain or in a hot air balloon?
Or have you always dreamed of your partner proposing to you with a romantic song? What about on the street in front of hundreds of people?
Well, I’m not sure what Leigh had imagined for her dream proposal, but when she sat down for a meal on this patio with her partner Paul, she had no idea what was about to come her way.
He stepped away from the table and left her sitting there for quite some time.
When people from the tables around her started to stand up and start singing, and musicians were coming out of nowhere, she realized she’s in the middle of a flash mob!
Or at least some kind of epic street performance. How exciting. But where was Paul?
A melodious group of men are singing “All Of You” by John Legend, and a crowd is gathering around.
She’s now the only person sitting at a table… and everyone is facing her. She must know something is up!
And then her boyfriend finally walks out with a guitar.
If she didn’t know what was going on before, she certainly knows now!
She looks so surprised!
But she also keeps her cool – I think I would be absolutely sobbing if someone did this for me! She is beaming, but sits through the whole performance calmly, looking lovingly at her talented partner.
How romantic, I’m swooning.
A massive crowd gathers around and everyone is taking photos and videos of this amazing moment.
Who wouldn’t want to capture this?! It’s a once in a lifetime experience.
After Paul sings and plays guitar in the middle of the busy street, he passes the guitar into the crowd and calls Leigh up to the stage.
He gets down on one knee, sings a couple more lines without the backup of the band, and asks her to marry him.
Of course she says yes!
In a whirlwind, a bottle of champagne pops open and the newly engaged couple are given glasses to celebrate. The band breaks into more music – singing “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.
I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Everyone is going wild after the “yes”, cheering and clapping as the flash mob breaks out into dance. Paul and Leigh stand in the afterglow of their magical proposal. They dance and drink champagne while onlookers wish them well.
Paul has set the bar pretty high for any of the other men in the crowd!
How could you possibly follow something like this?! It must have taken months of planning, and a lot of courage. Not to mention the music talent he already had to pull this off.
