It was a lazy day in this high street at Shirley, Southampton and everyone was chilling out and enjoying the slow and steady flow of their everyday routine. In the midst of this small, quiet high street, a woman wearing her blue working uniform steps out of the office and stood in front of the passing crowd.
A few moments later, a familiar song plays in the air. Everyone knew the song, but it was a song that seemed out of place in the middle of their easy and steady high street…until, the woman in the blue shirt started to dance to the music.
The song “What a Feeling” sung by Irene Cara is known for its energy and invigorating beat. Surely, this song is too lively for this busy yet silent street. But, once the mysterious woman danced, the magic instantly began!
The song from the movie Flashdance caught the attention of everyone passing by, especially since the girl was beautifully moving to the beat. She was full of energy! Shortly after, another girl in her jogging pants joined her in dancing and it was such a sight to behold!
Both of the girls were amazing dancers teeming with energy. They were definitely giving the song justice!
Out of nowhere, another lady appeared by the two women’s side and added to the wonderful number. By this time, more passers-by have become hooked to their performance. People were swaying to the upbeat music and seem to be smiling without realizing it. A dance number like theirs will surely make one smile!
Before anyone could recover from the three women’s graceful moves, the other lady who was just watching on the side also joined the group, making the dancers four in total. They were all dancing to the Flashdance iconic song and were totally having fun.
The music transitioned from one energetic song to another. When the opening bars of The Pointer Sisters’ “I’m So Excited” played, three men suddenly went to the midst of the impromptu dance floor. It appears that these men were all from the audience, doing different stuff like having a snack, checking the energy hub in the high street or simply sitting from anywhere in the crowd.
Another bout of invigorating dance moves and overly energetic routine unfolded right before the people’s eyes. It was absolutely amazing! The shock and surprises seem to have no end and everyone was totally hooked! Each move the dancers made were precise, graceful and bursting with energy!
Suddenly, a song change took place, giving way to Whitney Houston’s “You Light Up My Life”, another surprise no one saw coming. It was a short moment of tenderness that made everyone think about what these amazing dancers will do next. And they were not disappointed at all!
Every step they made and every song change they did were all absolutely fabulous! The flash mob did two more song changes and they gave even more energy and life that everyone watching them could not help but dance even after their wildly vibrant dance number. Everyone cheered after their final pose which was another “blast” on its own!
This flash mob performance was a promotional number done by Club Mob, a professional provider of flash mob services, in coordination with Utilita, the UK’s leading provider of smart prepaid energy available for everyone.
