One Russian farmer was in his barn when he discovered what he thought was four little kittens that had been abandoned by their mother.

The conditions they were faced with without their mother were harsh and so he decided to help. He called the Daursky Nature Reserve to find out what he could do. He also noted that they did not look like any kittens he had ever seen before. Sure enough, they confirmed that what he had found were certainly not regular cats at all. They were, in fact, Palla’s cats or Manuls, a rare species of wild cat native to Central Asia.

He took them to the reserve and when they arrived, they tried to see if they could get two regular cats to nurse the newborn manuls. Luckily, they did and started treating the kittens as their own.

After much tender loving care, the four adorable kittens were ready to released back into the wild – where they belong. We’re happy to report that they have adjusted to their new environment and are thriving on their own.

These adorable little kittens were not your average looking cats.
