Jerry is not only after quick and easy solutions to common home and farm dilemmas.

He also shares hacks that are not expensive and simple enough that other families can do them on their own.

All you need is baking soda and cornbread mix.

Grab a Tupperware to use as a container for your magical solution against rodents.

In his video, Jerry suggests that the best brand for cornbread is Jiffy with real honey, which will help attract the rats.

Mix equal parts of the two ingredients and put them in the container.

Make sure that the container has a hole and place it in areas where the rats usually go.

Wait, how does it really work and why is it so easy?

Apparently, it has something to do with the rat’s anatomy. The concoction does not affect other animals because of this.

Jerry explains:

“In their gut that helps them digest food, is acid … Rats can’t burp and rats can’t fart, and that’s why it kills a rat and a mouse.”

What happens is that once the mixture combines with the acid in the rat’s stomach, it bubbles, and eventually kills the rodent.

Jerry showed in his video how impactful it can be when the trick works.

He did this by adding vinegar to a jar with the mixture.

The baking soda foams up and because rats and mice can’t pass gas, this reaction will kill them.

Jerry has tried other tricks, but this one, by far, is the most effective.

He swears by it, and we think he might be onto something.

People online who have seen his instructional video seem to be impressed with the creative man.
