Egg-shaped dog gets a haircut
An adorable, snow-white pooch finally gets a haircut. The eggy precursor will give you flashbacks to Humpty Dumpty.

Dogs surely are man’s best friend.

Our canine companions are lovable and downright adorable, providing warmth and friendship amid this arduous existence of ours.

They’re even cute when they’re not trying.

Meet Egg Dog – part egg, all dog.

After months and months of growth, this pooch’s thick white coat has taken on a life of its own.

He’s in need of an extreme makeover, dog edition.

Amid a routine (and honestly necessary) haircut, Egg Dog introduces himself to the world wide web.

Pardon his pronunciation, he just learned how to speak human.

Well, “henlo” to you, too.

His pronunciation needs a little work, but that’s okay. He’s not a native speaker. Egg Dog adds,

“me an egg”

Yes… you certainly look like one. Maybe the cutest egg I’ve ever seen.

The groomer continues to cut his cute white mane. Egg Dog appears to be enjoying every moment of it.

Again, his English isn’t the best, but we’ll give him a pass for now. He is an egg… or a dog (or some undiscovered combination of the two?), after all.

But his vocabulary’s actually coming along quite nicely. Egg Dog continues…

Well, I certainly do feel bamboozled. What exactly is going on?!

Egg Dog makes a plea to the audience,

“don eat me”

I’m not sure I can make that promise… You’re honestly so cute I could eat you up – what a weird phrase, right?

Just kidding. I would never eat something that adorable. And honestly, we should all be going vegan anyway.

He kind of looks like Humpty Dumpty, but in the cutest way imaginable.

Hopefully Egg Dog’s not nearly as fragile…

I imagine his egg-like coat can cushion most moderate falls, anyway – an advantage that poor Humpty Dumpty never had.

Egg Dog proceeds to pull the carpet out from under us. Turns out, Egg Dog isn’t actually an egg… nor is he even part egg. In fact, he’s just a dog.

I know, I know. I gasped, too.

A real shocker.

I’m only slightly disappointed. Luckily, he’s so darn cute even if he isn’t an egg. In his words:

me actually a pup

Egg Dog appears to be a young white Pomeranian, one of the most popular dog breeds in the world.

They’re known for their lush coats, iconic smiles, and lively personalities. You might know someone with a Pomeranian.

Egg Dog continues the cute communication in broken English,

“me wish”

What’s your wish, Egg Dog? To finally hatch?

No, he just wants to see us succeed, bidding us some good fortune,

“u an good day”

Aww, thanks Egg Dog. That’s thoughtful. I wish you “an good day” as well.

The language will come. He’s actually not half bad for a dog.

Most dogs can’t even talk…

Looks like Egg Dog had a wonderful time at the groomer, although his egg coat was surely short-lived.

You can check out Groomer Andrea’s other adorable puppy makeovers on Instagram. She has images and videos of hundreds of dogs before and after their grooming. Some cats even made it into the collage.

Beware: some of the images are graphically cute.

Anyway, Egg Dog – whether egg or dog or both – looks adorable in his bulbous, snow-white coat. Unfortunately, the egg look’s been deprecated at the hands of Andrea’s scissors.

But the idea of Egg Dog will live on forever in our hearts…
