“Animals are such agreeable friends—they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms,” a beautiful quote from George Eliot.

This is perfectly true with this beautiful story of a Doberman pinscher and two dolphins a few years back that still brings a smile to our face. Meet Turbo, a 77-year old (dog years) Doberman pinscher who was able to escape his home one Sunday night when their gate was left open.

Like most dogs, Turbo was excited and decided to roam around until he fell into the water of a canal near his home. It was frightening to even imagine this dog all by himself, cold and scared. No fur-parent would ever want to picture this situation happening to them.

Hours past and the owner Cindy Burnett realized that Turbo was missing. By this time, poor Turbo was already cold and thirsty but no one noticed him because he was not visible to the passersby.

15 hours has past and Cindy, along with her son were already worried sick, still searching for their beloved Turbo.

“I searched and searched and called his name. I drove through this street at least five or six times.”

Burnett told NBC 2. Time was crucial and Turbo has been trapped into the water for a long time now. Until something unexpected happened.

Two dolphins started splashing, swimming, and kind of showing off to the people who were on their way to go fishing. Mr. and Mrs. D’Alessandro, from Pennsylvania, noticed how persistent these 2 dolphins were.

“We saw these two dolphins, and they were splashing and making this big commotion,”

they said in their statement for The Epoch Times.

Well, these dolphins weren’t only smart, they were persistent and they finally got the attention of Audrey D’Alessandro who was just on time to see why these dolphins were acting the way they were.

It was an emergency as Audrey saw the trapped dog. She saw how exhausted Turbo was and once she realized this, she immediately got help and soon, the firefighters came in and rescued the poor dog. They were able to finally pull Turbo out of the canal.

Turbo was so tired and weak.

“He was shivering and in a lot of distress,”

Burnett overwhelmed to what had happened, also realizing how close they were to losing their beloved Turbo.

What an unexpected turn to this amazing story. It’s just too wonderful to know how these 2 dolphins were able to make a way for Turbo to be saved – it was a miracle!

A relief for all, especially for Cindy as she was reunited with Turbo who had to rest to be able to fully recover and who would forget the unexpected rescue of the 2 dolphins who, despite not being able to talk were able to find a way to get the neighbors attention.

They may not be able to understand each other but these animals were able to realize what’s going on. Reacting on time and doing the best they can, Turbo is now back on track and is still energetic and playful – just not near the water for now.
