Who doesn’t love a good pool party?

There’s always plenty of food, drinks, music, and of course, hot weather that has you begging to be cooled off.

So why wouldn’t dogs love a good pool party, too?

Well, one group of lucky dogs got to experience just that.

At Lucky Puppy Country Doggy Daycare, the dogs get to have a 100% cage-free day at their dog-sitter’s house.

And when the weather gets hot, there is nothing that they like doing better than throwing themselves a little pool party.

This video really does make me jealous.

I’ve been to quite a few pool parties over the years, but none of them were as fun as this one looked.

There are dozens of dogs running around the pool, jumping in, swimming around, and the energy never seems to die down.

They even have a bucket filled with toys to play with in the water.

And the humans that are in charge of overseeing this dog party add to the fun experience.

You can see them throwing toys into the water which prompts the dogs to take a good long run and jump towards the toy.

These dogs really do show us how a pool party should go.

Because the biggest problem with pool parties (when you get older) is that most people don’t even get into the water.

As we get older, we become shy about our bodies, our hairline, and countless other reasons that keep us out of the pool.

If the point of the party is to swim and have fun, then why do we let something as unimportant as body size and receding hairlines keep us out of the water?

I think all of us can learn a thing or two from dogs, and not just in this pool-party setting.

Dogs are a great example of unconditional love, enduring loyalty, and complete confidence in their looks.

You’ll never see a dog avoid the water because he doesn’t like how his fur looks when it gets wet.

You may see him avoid the water because he doesn’t like to swim, but that is something else entirely.

We should all try to be more like dogs.

When our loved-ones come walking through the door, we should jump for joy every time that we see them.

We should love the people in our life unconditionally and look past their “flaws” to try and see what makes them great.

If people in the world operated more like dogs, we would be much better off.

So the next time that you are going to a pool party, think about these awesome dogs.

Let go of your inhibitions, your insecurities, and your self-consciousness.

Do the biggest cannonball that you can.

Be the first person in the pool.

Because when you show confidence in your own “flaws,” it allows everyone else to show confidence in theirs as well.

Everyone has insecurities, and nothing breaks them down quicker than watching another person throw their insecurities to the wind and have a great time in spite of them.

And you know what?

Even if other people don’t feel comfortable enough to let go of their insecurities right ways, that’s ok.

Because all it means is more pool time for you.
