Three dog siblings sing together in perfect harmony
What brilliant entertainment!

Dogs have mixed opinions about going to the groomer. While some enjoy the attention and pampering, others absolutely despise the whole experience.

One of a dog’s biggest fears at the groomer’s has to be the dryer. These hot, blowy things make a terribly loud noise – and in a dog’s eyes, it can seem like a predator is coming towards them. Dogs have more sensitive hearing than humans, so the noise is probably unbearable.

Other causes for stress include being around other dogs, having to spend time in a kennel, or separation anxiety from being away from their owner.

Dogs have many different coping strategies as they prepare for a trip to the groomer.

Some dogs will hide, while others throw a tantrum. But for these three gentle Alaskan Malamutes – Travis, Leila, and Joe — they have a different way of coping with a trip to the groomers: by forming a backseat choir.

It’s hard to tell if these three dogs were nervous or excited as they headed off to their pampering session at the groomer’s. But for whatever reason, they decided to all come together and sing as a way of getting through their journey — resulting in a perfect harmony.

While huskies are known for being vocal, Alaskan Malamutes are actually considered a quiet breed. But after listening to Travis, Leila, and Joe’s singing, we think that they are a clear exception to the norm.

If you don’t believe us, then prepare to be surprised, as the dogs’ owner managed to capture a video during the hilarious car journey.

Titled, “Out Of Tune Malamutes Sing In ‘Perfect’ Harmony,” the video was posted onto Rumble and has now been viewed by more than one million people all over the world.

The choir begins with the barking of one dog, who quickly encourages the others to join in. They whine loudly together in various different keys, and while it may not be music to the ears, it’s a totally joyous moment.

This out-of-tune piece should be called, “Malamute Rhapsody.”

Malamutes are actually pack dogs, which could explain why this lot decided to form a wannabe boy band when they got together. Pack dogs often mimic each other’s behavior, which in this case, resulted in some questionable harmonies between the three.

Who needs a radio when you have three performing dogs?

What we love the most about this video is the dogs’ confidence. Despite not being able to hold a note in tune, these three are as unashamed as a toddler at a disco. And there is an important takeaway from this video — don’t be afraid of what others will think of you! If you can’t sing, but you enjoy singing, then just do it anyway! Take some inspiration from these three malamutes.

We wonder if the trio exclusively perform in the car, or whether their groomer has been treated to a performance as well? We think it would be a great way to pass the time while they’re being shampooed — and might even frighten away the terrifying hairdryer.

We think that everybody deserves a singing malamute to ride around in the car with them. Watch the hilarious video for yourself below.
