Something all dog owners know is how easily the pups can find a way to get in trouble. When left unsupervised, there is no telling what sort of mischief they’ll get into.
That’s what Anna Lima and her fiance discovered recently after they adopted a puppy named Luna.
For the first few months, everything was going just fine. That is up until the day when they decided to drop the puppy off for a few hours at Anna’s grandma’s house.
Her grandma went to take a short nap, and when she woke up, she realized her dentures were missing.
She always takes them out and puts them underneath her pillow before she sleeps. However, this time, when she reached out to grab them upon waking up, there was nothing there! It was pretty random.
“She was pretty desperate that she couldn’t find her dentures,” Anna told The Dodo. “She and my mom searched everywhere. They searched for hours.”
The family looked everywhere for the lost teeth with no success, but just when they were on the verge of giving up, they made a shocking discovery.
The culprit behind the missing teeth was none other than Luna.
The dog was literally wearing them! The hilarious photos that Anna captured of the little pup holding the oversized dentures in her mouth will totally crack you up. We know we couldn’t stop laughing when we saw them.
“I found Luna sitting in the armchair with Grandma’s teeth in her mouth,” Anna said. “She didn’t want to give them back!”
Luna saw Grandma taking her teeth out before laying down for a couple of hours and decided to seize the opportunity to try them on herself.
The naughty dog managed to get them out from underneath the pillow without waking the woman up. Then kept chewing on them all day before she finally got caught. It was a pretty impressive accomplishment.
Luna is quite a skilled thief.
If only she knew how ridiculous she looked wearing the dentures though. She is one of the goofiest dogs we have ever seen. Especially when you consider the fact that she already has a perfectly good set of teeth of her own to use. Why Luna felt the need to put on Grandma’s dentures in addition to her sharp canines is still a mystery.
“We all laughed a lot!” Anna said. “We all love animals.”
The dog was very amused by the whole ordeal too.
Trying to explain to a puppy why it’s not okay to wear someone else’s teeth is not easy to do. It’s hard to really punish her for her mischievous actions either. After all, she is a dog.
The best defense to Luna’s klepto-activities is probably to just not leave her unattended at Anna’s grandma’s house anymore. The couple will have to find a new babysitter next time they want to go out for a while as the risk of the dentures being stolen again is just way too high.
While we imagine it was very stressful for Anna’s mom and grandma at the time, everyone can now sit back and have a good laugh about the incident. It is one of the funniest dog mischief stories that we’ve heard of, and one that the family will definitely be talking about for many years to come.
