While the internet is full of some pretty amazing animal tricks, most pets don’t know how to tickle the ivories like Buddy Mercury. If you haven’t heard, the basset hound/beagle mix has become quite the viral sensation because of his musical skills that are captured on film.
But what rockin’ performance would be complete without a partner in crime? For Buddy, he has a baby sister, Lil Sis, to join him as a bandmate.

Buddy Mercury is a rescue dog that’s really a musician at heart.
When Long Island residents Glen and Laurie Wolfe welcomed a pooch into their home, little did they know he was headed for a path of stardom. Yet, that is exactly what happened, and now people can’t get enough of watching Buddy bang on the piano with his head leaning back!
If you’re curious – yes, Buddy Mercury is named after Queen’s legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury. He even has self-taught skills that would’ve made the late singer proud.
Buddy’s adopted parents make sure to record his performances for everyone to see. Sometimes he has Lil Sis there to join him for a duet, but other times it’s a total solo.
He’s more than just a social media celebrity.
Sure, YouTube is where you’ll find dozens of homemade videos featuring Buddy Mercury, who has over 66,000 subscribers. In addition, he also has a Facebook page and Instagram account, with thousands of followers on them as well.
But here’s what makes this pooch extra awesome. With the help of Glen and Laurie, Buddy Mercury has a website that features his merchandise, he has an album on iTunes, and he’s appeared on the news and America’s Funniest Home Videos too. Not bad, huh?
Buddy’s fame is even being used for goodness.
Lori explained to WABC-TV:
“We want to help more animals get rescued. We only have so much space in our home. We can’t keep bringing them here.”
The majority of people would say that babies and dogs top their lists of being the most aww-worthy. Well, get ready to say “aww” while watching the video below.
Lil Sis comes running into the room with her toy guitar and plops it down on the floor. Once she gets it going, the tousled-haired tot can’t help but bust a move to the music.
That’s when Buddy decides he can’t let his sibling perform alone. He hops up onto the piano and throws his head back to howl along! It’s a sweet scene that you certainly don’t see every day (unless you live with Buddy that is).
