Nothing brings joy and laughter into the world quite like babies, with the only close runner-up being dogs. So when you put the two together, you’re almost guaranteed a good laugh. When this mom tried to bride her baby to say ‘mama,’ this hilarious dog beats him to it, howling the word in hopes for a treat. This is so epic, you have to see it, to believe it!
She tried to bribe her baby to say ‘mama,’ but didn’t expect her dog to say it first!
It’s no secret that some dogs are special, in this case, the special dog is an Australian Shepard named, Patch. He’s a beloved member of the Diaz-Giovonini family who lives in, Utah. At the time, his 9-month-old little brother, Sam, was just beginning to walk and talk.
The video starts with mom, Andrea, sitting on the couch eating something that’s just out of view. You can see the Australian Shepard, Patch, alongside his baby brother, following the food with his eyes. Little Sam isn’t as interested in the food, but he’s the one Andrea is trying to bribe, she really wants him to say ‘mama.’
Andrea repeats ‘mama’ while waving the food around as a bribe for baby Sam, just seconds into the video, Patch is the one who says ‘mama!’
It doesn’t take Patch long to realize what Andrea wants in exchange for the food, Sam, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have any intention of saying ‘mama’ at the time. That’s when Patch howls it out, over and over, “mama mama mama!” I can’t believe what I’m seeing, this dog perfectly says ‘mama,’ what a remarkable dog!
Andrea breaks out in laughter, if her human baby wasn’t going to say it, well, at least her dog baby would! The hilarious situation only gets more funny, when baby Sam realizes what is actually going on, and doesn’t appreciate his spotlight thieving brother, Patch. The baby’s reaction is so unexpected, to me, it’s the best part of the video.
Baby Sam doesn’t appreciate his dog brother, Patch, steeling his lime-light. So he tries to push him out of the frame.
I don’t know whether little Sam’s mad that his brother caved to the bribe so easily, or that he stole the stage, but either way, it’s hilarious. He looks at him with baby fury and gently hits him while trying to push him away. This makes Andrea break out in laughter, and I can see why! it literally had me laughing out loud.
It’s a toss-up on who’s more adorable, the dog takes the cake though, what Patch does is funny and impressive at the same time. I can see why the video has so many views!
The funny video quickly went viral, with almost 13.8 million views!
Back in 2015, when the video was posted it quickly went viral into the millions of views. Since then it’s steadily increased to a whopping 13.8 million views. People all over commented on the video, with a lot of folks criticizing Andrea for teasing the dog. However, she did post another video after in which the dog gets plenty, for those that jumped to conclusions.
“Give the food to the Dog already! He said ‘Mama” at least 3 times clearly! Said, one viewer.
Some people admitted they wouldn’t believe if that hadn’t seen it with their own eyes.
“If someone told me about this, I would not believe it! Said another viewer.
Andrea responded to the critics by saying:
“For the many concerned individuals claiming that the dog from “Dog Says Mama, Baby Can’t” didn’t never got a treat, here is one brief clip of just one bite he got from that night.”
