Some dogs hate being inside, but even their defiance about coming indoors can be downright adorable. Like this husky, who was having so much fun playing in the snow he wasn’t ready to end the good time. He yells and cries as his mom tells him to get inside, before inevitably caving.
It seems like he’s actually speaking English!
Zeus is a stubborn husky who loves playing out in the cold. The lovable pooch made it known in this defiant protest to stay outdoors
Siberian huskies are known to be one of the most stubborn breeds of dogs out there, they’re extremely intelligent, but that doesn’t always benefit their owner. They’re also known for being very vocal, almost as if they really talk to you. This video is the perfect example of that!
At the beginning of the video, you see Zeus laying on the snow-covered ground outside with his mom telling him to come inside. At first, you hear a slight whimpering for the gorgeous Husky, until he becomes extremely vocal with her. It sounds like he’s yelling “nooooooo.”
As the video goes on, Zeus gets more and more defiant and isn’t scared to voice his opinion
The more his owner insists on him coming inside, the more Zeus yelps in protest. He cries and begs, before barking loudly to try to convince his mom to let him stay outside. You can see his brother, Kaden, off to the side observing the argument and minding his own business.
Worried about waking up the neighbors, his mom begins insisting in a stricter tone, but Zeus won’t budge. That’s when his mom tries something different and it actually works.
Completely fed up with Zeus’s behavior, his mom comes up with a clever plan to get him inside once and for all
With Zeus still crying and pleading, his mom decides to take a different approach. You can see the husky perk up as his mom goes inside, calling his brother in to try and lure him.
When Kaden and their mom get inside, she reaches for Zeus’s favorite treats, shaking the bag and telling him he’s not getting one if he doesn’t come in.
“That’s it, Kaden’s getting a treat without ya, come on Kaden. Who wants a treat?” Says Zeus’s mom.
Finally, Zeus can’t resist the treats he loves, so he runs inside, still whining as he goes in
After several minutes of arguing, the thought of his brother getting a treat without him is too much for Zeus. He quickly runs inside to his mother’s relief.
“Oh that’s right, it gets you every time.” Says his mom.
Even though Zeus comes inside, the battle isn’t over
As the stubborn Husky comes in the sliding glass door, he makes it known that he isn’t happy with his mom’s tricky antics. He stops halfway through the door and lets out another whine, but she says “all the way” so he submits and comes in. Even when he comes in, Zeus isn’t giving up that easy and argues all the way to the end.
