Every family can find something irresistible about the idea of having a dog as a pet. And, many families have allowed the sometimes noisy but adorable animals to enter their homes and hearts.
Dog owners are not strangers to the different ways a dog can show affection to its owner. A dog loves to greet its owner with licks on the face and enjoys receiving hugs. A dog that has become quite attached to its owner wants to be with them all the time.
It is certainly not difficult for dog owners themselves to become quite attached to their pets. Many dog owners would find it unthinkable to be separated from their pets.
But, what happens when a pet dog that is loved so much by its owner goes missing? Sadly, that’s what happened to one dog owner in the Philippines whose dog had gone missing for three months.
The dog owner is Rustico Samson Jr. When his dog Coco went missing, Rustico could not help but become miserable. In the three months after his dog had gone missing, the dog owner did not let a day pass in search of his beloved pet. He looked for his dog everywhere in the city but still couldn’t find his whereabouts.
Samson told The Dodo that Coco was family. It was apparent that Samson missed his dog so much.
“I cried. There was so much sorrow, so much pain.”
But, however unbearable the experience to Samson, he kept looking. Months had passed but Samson still pressed on, hoping that one day he would be reunited with his dog. He searched everywhere in the city to find his dog.
“I even cried as I search,” the dog owner said.
Samson asked the help of both his friends and people who he had met in his search for Coco. Samson did not want to give up.
Then, after three months of searching for Coco, Samson finally got news of his dog’s whereabouts. Samson learned that a dog that resembled Coco had taken residence in a parking garage.
Samson immediately went to the parking garage to find out if the dog was really Coco. According to Samson, “Right at that moment, when I saw a dog lying on the floor of that parking garage, I knew it was him.”
Finding Coco after three months of endless search left Samson feeling overwhelmed. Samson said that he was very happy to see his beloved pet dog again.
“I think Coco felt the same way at that moment. You could hear him crying like a baby,” Samson said.
Samson was able to film his dog running excitedly to meet him. The dog looked very pleased to see Samson. Samson himself was glad to have found his lost dog at last and reassured his dog that he was going to take him back home.
The video of the dog owner reuniting with his dog after three months could leave people in tears. Not all dogs who go missing are able to be found by their owners. Both the dog Coco and his owner Samson are very lucky to have found each other again.
