Having a dog is a pretty major commitment.
Without a doubt, these furry animals can bring a lot of joy to your life. They are beyond loyal, always happy to see you when you get home and can brighten your day with a much needed snuggle. For those with bigger dogs, though, keeping them under control can be more of a challenge.
A recent video clip making the rounds on the Internet proves just that.
Though the video is of unknown origin, the dog appears to be a boxer.
As the clip begins, the dog’s owner can be heard saying, “Come on, girl!” At that, this adorable pup doesn’t need any more prompting—instead, it springs into action.
In just a split second, the dog leaps clear over the doggie gate!
While the dog’s owner is unknown, the video is believed to have been filmed in the United States.
After making her incredible leap, the dog comes skittering to a halt in front of its owner’s feet. Needless to say, the owner can’t stop laughing at the hilarious display.
The video even runs the clip back in slow motion so that viewers can get a full view of the jump!
The video was traced back to Twitter, where it was uploaded by user @GeorgeAnthonyii.

The clip has gone viral, with more than 100,000 retweets.
There are many mysterious things about this video. Where did this dog and its owner come from? Where did it learn to jump so high and so quickly? What will the world do when this video spreads to other dogs around the country? Are all the world’s mid-sized dogs only a four-foot vertical from taking over the world?
Hopefully, this video will serve as a warning to dog owners everywhere!
Although we all love our pups, it’s good to know how high they can jump.
Although the situation in this video was harmless and was probably encouraged by the owner, it is worth considering how high your own dog can jump if you’re planning on keeping him out of harm’s way.
After all, dogs are powerful and curious animals. For homeowners trying to keep big, rowdy dogs away from babies, or from others trying to keep their dogs from running away—see this video for research.
In the meantime, we’ll be watching this one on repeat.
