When it’s time to go to bed, some of us need very specific conditions in order for us to fall asleep. Whether it’s the right blanket, the right pillow, the right temperature.

Sometimes things need to be just right for us to nod off into the land of dreams.

Some of us, like Arvo, even need a specific stuffed animal to fall asleep. While some dogs are entertained by squeaky toys or bouncy balls, Arvo is a stuffed animal dog.

According to BarkPost, dogs often pick specific toys based on their personality, breed, and genetic history.

“Some dogs always seem to have a soft plush toy like a stuffed animal loosely grasped in their jaws,” BarkPost explains. “They march around the house with it, snuggle in bed with it, even lick or suck on it affectionately. Sleeping with a soft toy and mouthing it affectionately is often seen in dogs take away from their mothers and litter mates before they were entirely weaned.”

Specifically, Arvo is attached to his oversized plush teddy bear. Arvo was ready for sleepy time and wanted to bring this bear along with him.

The only problem was that Arvo sleeps in a small kennel. But that didn’t deter Arvo. Not one bit! And where there is a will, there is a way!

The adorable long-haired dachshund decided that he needed to cuddle with his bear no matter. Though the bear seemed like it was too big to fit into the kennel, he was determined to MAKE it fit.

And the entire determined act was all caught on tape by Arvo’s mom. The video starts with the bear sitting upright in front of the kennel. You can’t even see Arvo at this point, but he is gripping the back of the bear.

Then you see the bear moving as Arvo tackles it and tries to drag it back into the kennel. On his first try, he fails. The bear is just too big!

He tries again by flinging the bear outward, then dragging it head first into his kennel. He has a little bit more success this time around, but it takes several tries for him to wiggle his bear into his sleep quarters.

Finally, success!

Arvo’s perseverance and determination finally paid off as the entire bear is inside. Now Arvo can drift off into dream land.
