Sometimes change can be a good thing, and thatโs exactly what Michelle needed. As a divorcee who was turning 50 โ she was ready for a new look to help her achieve a fresh start.
Michelle traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota to meet with stylist Christopher Hopkins at his studio. After all, if there was one person who could help her feel young and beautiful, it was The Makeover Guy.
Reaching a life milestone can be an incredible accomplishment, yet, itโs also a point of reflection and can leave a person feeling uneasy.
For Michelle, she had a great deal on her plate. The 49-year-old from Savannah, Georgia had gotten a divorce, her children had flown the nest to start their own lives, and she was easing back on her career.
On top of that, Michelle was not looking forward to turning 50!
At only a month away from the big day, she decided to seek out an opportunity to help her โreset.โ Thereโs no doubt that Michelle really felt she needed it.
Christopher Hopkins is known as The Makeover Guy, but heโs also known for making peopleโs dreams come true (in the looks department, that is). He has a long list of people heโs transformed, from celebrities to women like Michelle โ who just want to feel good about themselves.
When clients visit The Makeover Guyโs salon they usually walk out feeling like a million bucks (or more). Christopher also records the transformations and shares them online.
If youโve ever watched his videos, then you know that theyโre heartwarming, inspirational, and quite jaw-dropping too.
Michelle walked into the studio looking for a change. But was she ready for how big of a change she had coming to her?
Everyone reaches different points in their lives where a fresh look is just what the doctor ordered. With ALL that Michelle had going on โ she was at one of those points.
She explained to Christopherโs staff that it was:
โโฆsomething Iโve always wanted to do, but this is just a good time in my life to do it.โ
The mom was already pretty from the start. With blue eyes and long enough hair to work with, it was anybodyโs guess what exactly The Makeover Guy had planned for his muse.
Finally, it was time to meet hot mama Michelle!
Michelle said she was ready to โreset,โ so of course, Christopher had to do something completely drastic. Thatโs why he decided to make her a gorgeous sandy blonde!
She tells the camera how she thought going blonde was the one thing she didnโt think would happen. Not only was Michelle wrong, but the new hair color and wavy style made her look stunning.
The beautiful makeup even helped her appear younger!
The almost Birthday girl admits:
โIt really is an opportunity for just a new season, a fresh start โ and maybe just a way to look at myself a little bit differently.โ
She definitely was going to be seeing a new reflection in the mirror, thatโs for sure. Hopefully, it also helped Michelle achieve the confidence she needed to take on the next chapter in her life. She was going to rock it!
