Dog entertains crowd with playing dead antics
Some dogs will do anything to get attention. This particular dog even went so far as to play dead instead of having to leave all the activity going on in the park.
Dog Entertains The Crowd
The dog made a great day even better.
The weather was great and the park was full of people just soaking up the sun. It began with the owner walking the dog along the paved pathway. Then suddenly this adorable canine decided to lay down and play dead. The walk came to a sudden halt.
Others Had To Walk Around The Dog
Others walking along the pathway had to walk around the dog.
The dog was not bothered by those passing by and had no intention of moving to accommodate them. As he laid there with his feet in the air and his head tilted back he really did look as though he had passed on.
The Owner Calls His Bluff
Obviously the owner was aware of the dog’s antics.
The owner removed the leash from the collar and walked away making the dog think that he was about to leave him. The dog did appear as though this got his attention as he proceeded to sit up. The owner thinking that the problem was solved put the leash back on the dog.
Dog Isn’t Going Anywhere
Dog sits firmly and has no intentions of moving.
As the owner pulled the dog in his direction the dog immediately pulled back in the opposite direction. He was in a sitting position and was making it quite clear he wasn’t budging
Back To The Dead Position
Apparently the dog liked the dead position better
To make sure that his owner was not going to be able to move him he resorted to the dead position. Amazingly he struck the exact same pose as he had done the first time.
A Gentle Pull On The Paw Causes No Reaction
All the cajoling in the world was not going to budge this dog.
Several times the owner tried to encourage the dog to get up, but went completely ignored.
A Victory For The Owner
Another attempt of letting the dog think the owner was going to leave him finally worked
As the owner once again removed the leash and walked away the dog studied him carefully. The owner walked a further distance away than he had done the first time. Apparently the dog thought he meant business this time and reluctantly got to his feet and went to the owner. The event came to a grand conclusion with the cheers of the people watching.

Lulu had and appointment at the vet to get spayed but had other intentions. No matter what the owner said or did the dog didn’t move a muscle.
For those who think that dogs may not be very clever the ones highlighted here surely prove them wrong.
