Have you ever felt pressure from your parents to have children?
You could be 18 years old or 30 years old, and they will still pressure you because “they’re your parents.” Sound familiar?
Some parents outright ask when you’re going to give them grandchildren. Other parents attempt a little more subtly and casually drop hints about what they’d do once they had a grandchild.
For Meghan Specksgoor, her dad is a mix of subtle and obvious about wanting a grandchild.
When Meghan took a trip to New York, she entrusted the safety of her fur child, Chance, to her father. Who else could care for the pup better than the man who raised her?
Sure enough, her dad did an amazing job watching Chance. In fact, her dad and Chance had such a great time together, their adventures have gone viral!
Meghan shared the photos her dad sent her while she was away with this caption:
“My dad is babysitting Chance this weekend while I’m in NYC, someone please get this man a grandchild.”
Mr. Specksgoor, or as he called himself Grandpa, sent his daughter multiple photos from his time hanging out with his grandson Chance.
They went for a ride in the car and got takeout together. Which, after they picked up food, they had a picnic together too!
Chance even got to sit on the park bench during their picnic.
It seems grandpa enjoyed time with his fur grandchild so much, he kept sending photos (all “voiced by Chance”) asking for Chance to spend more time with his Grandpa.
Seeing as everyone on Twitter loves dogs and loves cute parents, it is no surprise that this story went mega-viral.
The post has been retweeted over 53,000 times and liked almost 200,000 times. The Twitter thread was flooded with hundreds of comments of love and support.
Many commenters were sharing their thoughts on how sweet this post was. One person made this keen observation about Chance in each photo:

Another commenter appreciated that Meghan’s dad was updating her while also being respectful of her wishes for Chance:
