As we’re forced to isolate in our homes, boredom sets in and increases with every day that passes. So why not pull some harmless pranks on your family? That’s what one woman did, by slowly replacing family photos with crayon drawings and seeing how long it would take her parents to notice.

What a hilarious prank, I’m so doing this!

Kristen Vogler started replacing family photos with crayon drawings, to see how long it would take her parents to notice and their reaction is priceless

Kristen is in lockdown with her family, which as we all know gets very boring as the days begin to bleed together. That’s why she thought it would be good for everyone’s morale, to play a harmless yet hilarious joke on her mom and dad.

It started when her sister told her about an interesting prank she had seen online. The prank was replacing family photos of pictures of famous actor Nicholas Cage, to see how long it would take people to know. Kristen loved the idea, but she also wanted to put her own spin on it so she decided to use crayon drawn photos instead.

“The first crayon drawing is placed, bets were made on how many photos and how long it would take them to notice.” Kristen writes on Facebook.

The first drawing was a picture of her grandparents, but her parents failed to notice. On day two she replaces a photo of her and her sisters, her parents still didn’t catch it.

On day three she replaces an older black and white photo, but her parents still haven’t noticed anything wrong.

On the fourth day, Kirsten thought she would surely get caught. Mainly because she had been posting her progress on Twitter and her mom just happened to start an account that day, but luckily her mother didn’t look at her feed.

When the fifth day comes around, it’s getting harder and harder but her parents still haven’t noticed!

On day six, Kirsten has to convince her mom to go on a run before the rain comes in order to sneak a picture onto the wall.

“Today was a twofer with these classic Christmas photos. At this point, I was starting to think I should have guessed based on weeks and not days for how long it would take them to notice.” Kirsten wrote on day seven.

It’s now day eight, there’s a total of eight crayon pictures that have replaced family photos on the wall yet her parents are none the wiser.

Now, Kirsten only has 3 more photos to switch out before the whole wall is crayon drawings.

On the tenth day, it’s Easter, and Kirsten still manages to draw a crayon photo and replace the original. There are now only two real photos left and her parents still haven’t noticed.

Kirsten almost got caught hanging the crayon photo up on day eleven, but hid in the bathroom and got away with it.

Seven hours after she hung the crayon photo up on day 11, she heard her mom finally notice something was wrong with her photo wall.

Kirsten ran over to get her mom’s hysterical reaction to the crayon photos on video, and the prank was finally up. It took almost 2 weeks and 11 photos to be replaced for her to notice! To see her mom’s reaction, watch the video below!
