Dancing is a very magical talent, and it comes in many different forms like hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, ballet and tap, among others. But sometimes, when you are watching a dance routine, you can’t help but think it is more than dance. It is athletism, insanely hard work, and an immense amount of physical skill.
This couple delivered a pretty much perfect dance routine, which basically looked like figure skating but without the skates.
Shane and Shannon Jensen are the two dancers who did their routine to “Never Enough” by Loren Allred, which was a song that was featured in the film The Greatest Showman.
At the time, they held three titles: World Cabaret Champions, U.S. National Cabaret and Theatrical Champions, and British Open Exhibition Champions.
Shannon was dressed in a beautiful, light purple (and very sparkly) dress while Shane looked a bit more conservative, dressed in a grey top and black pants.
Soon after they start dancing, you realize this is going to be more than simply dancing.
The performance is much more than just dancing. It is also chock full of jumps, flips and lifts.
When watching their routine, it quickly becomes clear that Shane is much stronger than he appears. He smoothly glides Shannon up in the air over and over again throughout the 4 minutes and 25 seconds.
He makes Shannon look as light as a piece of paper as he tosses her in the air over and over again. When she is in the air, she takes on several spins. Or sometimes she will be doing a split in the air… The performance was filled with so many surprises.
The moves they whipped out clearly must have taken months — and years — to perfect. It looked as if they rehearsed for hours upon hours because they were not a single hair out of place.
They both move with so much fluidity and chemistry, it actually feels so heartwarming to watch.
The crowd happily cheers for the two throughout the entire routine as well. After every lift and flip, the crowd roars louder and louder in complete disbelief.
The performance is guaranteed to send chills down your spine.
At the end, of course, the audience gives them a standing ovation which is not even a surprise. It is more than deserved. Even if you only saw the first minute of the performance, you would know that it is standing ovation-worthy!
Since the video was originally uploaded in 2018, it went viral and garnered over 3 million views.
Now, the whole entire world is in awe of Shannon and Shane’s unbelievable skill and presence.
“He picks her up like she weighs absolutely nothing,” one person commented. “This performance reminds me of Disney fairy tale movies, where the couples are just singing, dancing and chasing each other… so in love… in their own little world! This is AMAZING,” another person wrote with pure joy.
