So, hereโs the deal. Both parenting and being the child arenโt always easy. Thatโs why a lot of families find that humor helps to ease tension and make each other laugh. Today, itโs relatively common for kids to pull pranks on their moms and dads. But now, some parents are getting even.
That alone is great but whatโs even better is when a parent prank gets posted on social media. That way, we can all get in on the fun. Well, thatโs what happened in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
A great student
Jack Beadles attends the Stillwater Junior High School where he has a lot of friends. Heโs one of the cool kids, thanks to his incredible sense of humor. But one day, he was put to the test in the most, well, unusual way.
An extraordinary day
This wasnโt just any day but rather, the last day of school. On this particular day, kids are super excited to get their summer fun started. So, theyโre not paying a lot of attention in class, which is expected.
The unexpected
But on this day, Jack would experience something he never wouldโve dreamed could happen. You see, his dad, Justin, was also excited about this being his sonโs last day of school. He wanted to make it memorable. And boy, did he.
Momโs behind the camera
Justinโs dad wasnโt the only one in on the prank. Nopeโฆhis mom, Heather, filmed it all. With this moment etched in time, Jack can go back many years from now and feel embarrassed all over again. Hopefully, heโll find a little more humor in what took place.
Hereโs how it went down
Justin was scheduled to pick his son up from school. And he did. But unlike all the other parents, he showed up in a Speedo. Oh, and the bright yellow swim cap and goggles were a nice touch.
There was more
Justinโs dad didnโt sit in the car waiting for him. What fun would that be? Instead, he ran through the parking lot yelling, โJack.โ All the while, heโs swinging his arms and with each step, you can hear the sound of the swim medals around his neck clanking. Itโs priceless.
Feeling mortified
Keep in mind, it wasnโt only Jack experiencing this. All of his friends, acquaintances, and parents witnessed it too. Initially, he was horrified. But knowing his dad, he simply rolled his eyes in resignation.
It wasnโt over
At some point, Justin couldโve turned around and left. But thatโs good enough. You see, he loves his son and wanted to show it to the world. So, he ran up to him, put his arm around his shoulders, and then proudly walked with him to the car.
Not punishment but love
While some people might think this is a strange way for a father to show his son love but thatโs how things work in the Beadles household. Justinโs goal was to make this day memorable. He wanted his son to look back and remember the good and crazy times they had together.
The icing on the cake
But hereโs probably the best part of all this. Jackโs dad is the senior pastor at the Countryside Church. Again, some people might question his decision but Justin wanted to show his son and everyone else thatโs itโs possible to have good, clean fun. The truth is that Justin is very proud of his dad, even if heโs a little crazy at times.
