Humans and animals have been coexisting and creating lasting relationships since the beginning of time. As we’ve both grown together, we’ve domesticated dogs, cats, snakes, bunnies, etc into our homes and made them a part of our families. Caring for them and spoiling them just as we would a loved one.
“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”— Roger Caras
Not only have dogs become a very integrated part of our families and regarded as man’s best friend but just like people they have hidden talents and tricks waiting to be discovered. As we spend more time with our companions some of us like to test the boundaries to see what they can learn. Some dogs have been taught to snowboard, surf, skateboard, and one dog has even learned how to push buttons that communicate what it wants to the owner.
As we’ve come to learn there isn’t much our furry companions aren’t capable of. Whether they are telling their owner with a push of a few buttons that it would make them happy to go outside and play with their ball or catching some sick waves dogs are always more than willing and eager to learn and try anything. For one golden retriever in Spain, his owners recently wanted to teach him how to hold a small bird on his head.

Meet funny dog Bailey a 2-year-old golden retriever pup who is ready for any challenges set before him and from the looks of it will achieve them with ease.
When his owners came to him with the challenge he was so excited immediately running and jumping around the room. Twirling on the bed and barking signaling he ready for the challenge and eager to succeed. Even putting his arms around his dad to give him some love before the training began and almost to thank him for taking the time to teach him something new.
At first, Bailey was too excited for the tiny bird which in return made it fly away from him. In order for the bird to rest nicely on top of his head, Bailey will have to remain very still.
After Bailey gets all of his enthusiasm out he begins to get serious about the task at hand. He sits quietly and holds very still for his Dad awaiting the bird to be transferred to his head. Slowly and calmly the bird is gently placed on top Bailey’s head. Once the tiny bird is successfully placed on top of his head he glances over at his dad to confirm he’s being a good boy.
His dad gives him the nod of approval and gently strokes his face which makes Bailey release a big smile. His dad removes the bird from Bailey’s head for him to say hello to the tiny bird again but all of Bailey’s excitement once again scares it away. But that doesn’t stop Bailey from trying one more time and this time he does it for his mom. He plops down right in front of her and places his paws on her legs. The bird is placed once more gently on his head as he holds still. Once the bird feels comfortable up there and his mom reassures him Bailey lets out that big smile with his tongue sticking out.
The challenge accepted and successfully completed all while looking incredibly adorable.
