Frank Sinatra’s music is timeless.
It’s just as enjoyable to listen to today as it was when he first put it out.
And when you think Sinatra, you can’t help but think romance.
He sings many of his songs about love and his smooth, deep voice sure does help to set the mood.
But there are plenty of other scenarios where Frank Sinatra’s music should be played–like while driving in your car.
And for one father-son duo, Frank Sinatra is the perfect music to bond over during a short drive.
When this father puts Sinatra on, his son knows exactly what’s coming next.
The music starts to play, and right as Sinatra comes in to sing, so does the son.
He’s a young kid and is missing both of his front teeth.
However, this doesn’t slow him down at all.
The kid starts singing along with Sinatra’s voice the second it comes on over the car speakers.
And what’s great is that the kid’s high-pitched singing voice harmonizes perfectly with Sinatra’s deep, smooth voice.
When the son finishes singing his part of the song, dad comes in to accompany Sinatra this time.
Dad’s voice is deep like Sinatra’s and it’s almost hard to tell the two voices apart.
The two continue to sing and take turns with each line.
Then a line comes that the two sing together.
And it’s at this point that anyone watching this video can’t help but have their heart melt just a little bit.
The brass comes in loud and the energy picks up in the song.
Frank, dad, and the son all belt out the same line together, “We’ve got us.”
Dad sneaks a look over at his son in the passenger seat and smiles as he sings the line.
The son sits in the seat, head back, eyes nearly shut, belting out the line.
It’s a touching moment between father and son.
But that’s not the last time in this video that your heart will melt.
The two continue to sing, dad driving, son riding, and you can tell that dad is happy to share this moment with his son.
One of the great parts about being a parent is your ability to share some fo your passions and favorite things with your kid.
For this dad, sharing his love for the great Frank Sinatra is his way of passing on a gift to his son.
And his son must enjoy Sinatra just as much as his dad because he seems to know every single word in the song.
I don’t know about you, but it takes me at least 10 to 15 times of listening before I can sing most of the words to a song.
So this son most certainly has listened to this song multiple times.
It’s great to see this father and son bond over Sinatra’s music.
Although it comes from a different time, it seems to resonate with these two people from completely different generations.
And when this son grows up and has some kids of his own, I hope he plays them some of his favorite music, too.
For all we know, he may play them, Frank Sinatra, as well.
