When someone pays you a compliment, what do you do? Unless you have an unusually large ego, you probably respond with a modest, โOh, really? Thank you! Thatโs so kind.โ Even if you know you look amazing in your new outfit, or that your home cooked lasagne tastes exceptionally good, itโd be rude to agree.
This modesty doesnโt usually extend to non-humans, but one little puppy proved that animals can have a hard time accepting a compliment, too.
In a video shared to YouTube four years ago, a tiny frenchie pup can be seen sitting on the couch behind a man. The pup is wearing a red bandanna that looks, quite frankly, adorable.

The man turns to his puppy and asks:
โHow do you like your bandanna?โ
And the pup responds with a nonchalant head tilt and a funny little bark.

The man continues:
โYou look super handsome.โ
In response to this, the puppy puts his paw up and shakes his head, as if to say, โOh, stop,โ and the man says,
โYeah, I agree.โ

Itโs a short, simple video, but itโs easy to see why it has racked up more than 700,000 views since it was posted. The little puppy genuinely seems like heโs modestly reacting to the manโs compliment โ and viewers agree. One person commented:

โBoth of you are handsome!! Lolโ

When you see the photos of him on his account, itโs quite easy to see why. Link is obviously a bundle of chaos, in the best way possible. There are photos and videos of him taking a bath in a swimming pool, looking unimpressed in a headband, and hanging out with various other frenchie puppies.

Since Link has grown from pup into man dog, heโs seen a lot of change in his life. His human dad, Sean, has got married and had a baby with his wife. The pair also seem to have around 100 dogs between them.
If youโre more interested in Sean than Link, his YouTube videos are a combination of recorded workouts and videos of him and his dogs. You can find plenty more videos of Link on his channel, including one titled โThis is my lifeโฆโ in which Sean and Link appear to have a blowing/barking competition. With 1 million views, itโs an odd, if not amusing watch.

Sean has gone pretty quiet on his YouTube channel recently, so Instagram is the place to go if youโre looking to get your daily fix of his adorable doggos. Though Link is much calmer now heโs an adult, he hasnโt lost his puppy personality.

Whether Linkโs tiny bandanna still fits him is another question. Perhaps he wears much larger bandannas as an older dog โ and weโre betting heโs still as modest as ever if heโs paid a compliment about them.
Prepare to have a giggle at the video of Link tossing a paw at Seanโs compliment in the video below.
