When we are not feeling well, most of us would look for our moms to give us that comforting touch and care.
It’s also the same with animals. Unfortunately, there are times that baby animals get separated from their moms because of some detrimental circumstances. So clearly, those animals who aren’t with their mothers need our help.
This man was to the rescue.
It’s when some construction workers came across a fawn who was in the path of their work, they knew that they were going to have to move him out of harm’s way. The baby’s mother was nowhere in sight, so workers took him to a clearing nearby and began to comfort him.
However, what they didn’t expect was for the fawn to become so attached to them, and the sweet baby has the cutest reaction when the workers try to put him down!
The deer had the chance to reunite with its mom.
When construction worker Justin Lewis shared his video, titled, “Spoiled deer” onto his YouTube channel, he probably wasn’t expecting it to go viral. But the adorable clip instantly took off, with over 9 million views, as well as thousands of likes and comments.
But before the reunion, the fawn had a great time with the kind workers.
The video shows Justin’s work colleague cradling the needy deer in his arms as you would do with a baby. He’s rubbing the little guy’s belly, and the deer is absolutely loving the attention! In fact, every time the man attempts to put the fawn down, the fawn reacts in a totally hilarious way.
Speaking to the camera, Justin says, “So we found this baby deer, and we were moving it out of the way so it doesn’t get smashed by a tree… We started rubbing its belly, and now when we go to put it down it freaks out until we start rubbing its belly again.”
The fawn clearly loves the man’s touch.
As he lowers him down, the fawn makes the sweetest little indignant noise and wriggles away from the ground and closer into the man’s arms. It’s clear that he’s loving the attention so much that he doesn’t want to be put down!
“It does not wanna go. That deer does not wanna be put down,” Justin concludes.
Here’s the whole story behind the clip according to Justin.
“My buddy and I were clearing a right of way for the electric lines and came across this fawn trapped in the fall path of the tree we were about to trim. He was tangled in some thorns and was pretty shaken up after we cut him loose, so we started rubbing his belly to calm him down…. which worked a little too well, as you can see.”
And for those who are worried about where the fawn’s mother was, you’ll be pleased to know that it all ended happily, with Justin continuing,
“He followed us around the job site like a lost puppy for about an hour until I noticed a doe watching us from the hillside. Assuming this was his mother, I carried him about halfway up the hill while she watched attentively. I sat him down, he ran straight to her, and they walked off together.”
It’s rare to see deer enjoying love and care from humans as we would compare it with other animals like dogs or cats. But it’s amazing to see that deer like this fawn really love it so much. Hopefully, we would find this as one of the reasons why we shouldn’t hesitate to love other animals.
