People are social beings, we need human interaction in order to survive and keep our heads in order. In these stressful times, social distancing has a lot of us depressed and full of anxiety. That’s why one community in Wisconsin, found a way to lighten the mood, all while following the CDC’s recommendation of keeping 6-feet apart.
This is awesome, I know it brightened my day!

People in a Milwaukie, Wisconsin, neighborhood, took to the streets in inflatable and regular dinosaur costumes to lighten the mood during social distancing
The Coronavirus has made life stressful to say the least, but it shouldn’t stop us from having a little fun! In the Bayview neighborhood, the community put together a unique way to cheer up people during self-isolation by dressing up as dinosaurs and parading through the streets.

Onlookers cheered and took pictures, as their neighbors walked the blocks in a dino-parade in inflatable and regular costumes of the pre-historic creatures.

The lead dinosaur even carried a yard-stick, to ensure the T-Rex and its buddies were practicing social distancing
You can see the dinosaur in the front of the parade, brandishing a long ruler to encourage the 6-foot rule during the hilarious march. People, kid’s and parents alike, lit up with happiness as the parade marched around the blocks of Bayview.

A long line of people followed the dinosaurs’, while cars drove by, honking their horns as people in the community watched on while bursting with laughter.

One little girl dressed in her dinosaur costume held a sign out of a car window labeled “I heart Dinos”
This is so cool, kids held homemade signs out of their parent’s car, while they followed the parade. People all around need a pick-me-up right now, and this is a great way to get one.

“A couple of friends and me wanted to do something just for the neighborhood while people are sort of experiencing the monotony of being socially isolated. If anything, just to give parents and families a little bit of a break, some joy, something different in their lives today.” Stacy Meyer told the Milwaukie Journal Sentinel.
It wasn’t just adults dressed as dinosaurs, one kid brought out his T-Rex costume and marched in the parade

Kids thoroughly enjoyed the idea, one marched in the parade, while another stood in his yard in full costume. One little girl even brought out her dinosaur toys’ and lined them up to greet the parading beasts’.

With the pandemic going on, it’s been hard for people to find ways to come together, but the community in Milwaukie, Wisconsin’s Bayview neighborhood, found a great way to ease the tension during the difficult times.
This isn’t the only community using dinosaurs to bring fun in the tough times

Two young girls in San Antonio, are going viral for dressing in dinosaur costumes to make people laugh during the scary times. They went to their local grocery store, goofing off dressed as T-Rex’s to brighten the day for panicking shoppers.

Social distancing can be depressing, so it’s good to see some people going out of their way to bring laughter and joy back into their communities. To see the hilarious dino-parade, watch the video below!
