Adopting a dog is one of the most rewarding things you can ever do in your life.
Sometimes, dogs will adopt us first!
My Yorkie- Cairn Terrier mix is the sweetest little guy around and he found my family. We’ve been inseparable ever since!
Celebrities have enough money to buy whatever they want, but many celebrities know that adopting an animal in need (instead of buying a designer dog) is the best thing to do.
Captain America himself, Chris Evans, is an advocate for adoption and honest, could he be any dreamier?
If you’re a big fan of Chris, then you know he has a cute pup named Dodger. He’s only had Dodger for less than two years, but he is extremely obsessed with his dog.
He adopted Dodger while filming a movie because as soon as he saw his face, he knew that he had to have him.
When speaking with People in 2017, he said:
“One of the last scenes we were filming was in a pound, a kennel. I foolishly walked in and I thought, ‘Are these actor dogs or are these real up for adoption dogs?’ And sure enough they were, so I was walking up and down the aisles and saw this one dude and he didn’t belong there.”
He adopted Dodger ASAP. It was a perfect match for both of them.
“I snagged him and he’s such a good dog. They aged him at about one, he acts like a puppy, he’s got the energy of a puppy, he’s just such a sweetheart, he’s such a good boy. He loves dogs, he loves kids, he’s full of love.”
Chris often shares videos of Dodger on Twitter. Good boy is an understatement, Dodger seems like the best boy!
Dodger likes to play, sing, run around, and have lots of fun with his dad.
“Playing with him is exercise, he’s exhausting. He’s up for anything. God dogs, they’re such great animals. I really can’t say enough about dogs, I’m a dog lunatic.
He sleeps on my pillow, you wake up face-to-face.”
Chris just shared a video on Twitter of the day that he first met Dodger. In the video, you can see that Dodger clearly wants to jump up and say hi to Chris, but he restrains himself and sits still.
Isn’t this just the purest video you’ve ever seen?
Please SHARE this video with your friends and family to remind them to adopt, not shop.
This is the moment we met. He was trying so hard to stay seated even though he desperately wanted to get out. I knew right away that he was coming home with me, so I took this video to always remember our first hello. Rescue dogs are the best dogs!! #NationalPetDay pic.twitter.com/XjWxPWGDPu

Apparently, Dodger has a stuffed lion that he loves very much and his lion sings. And Dodger likes to sing along!
Isn’t Dodger just the cutest little guy?
This is Dodger’s stuffed lion. He loves it. He brings it everywhere. If you press it’s paw, it sings. Today, Dodger decided to join in. pic.twitter.com/CuH53VNVtF
