Music enthusiasts the world over can’t help but love Coldplay – a British rock band formed in 1996. The group actually went through a couple of names before finally (and rightfully) deciding on Coldplay. First, they chose Pectoralz, then Starfish. Now, Coldplay is one of the biggest names in the music industry with numerous chart-topping hits, award-winning albums, and even commercial endorsements.
The unique sound of Coldplay’s music and their poetic, deeply moving lyrics, coupled with front man Chris Martin’s distinct vocals, fuels them to continuously move forward, stand out, and succeed in an industry brimming with newcomers and sound fused with computer generated effects. Coldplay transcends time and trends with their music – different, meaningful, comforting.
With hits like “Yellow”, “Shiver”, “The Scientist”, and more, it’s hard not to fall in love with the music of Coldplay.
As if the impactful band hasn’t shown enough greatness in the field of music, they continue to treat their fans with surprising yet incredible collaborations with artists such as Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Avicii. These unexpected team ups produced infectious tunes that climbed the charts.
And because Coldplay has an inexplicable way of making magic with each collaboration, it comes as no surprise that their songs are top picks for performances: in singing competitions, school talent shows, etcetera.
Color Music, a children’s choir from Ukraine, showed off their exceptional singing talent with their rendition of “Something Just Like This”, an EDM-pop hit by Coldplay and The Chainsmokers. Typically, choirs all over would opt for Coldplay’s older, slower hits.
Color Music defied expectations with their seamless performance of the EDM hit.
The members of Color Music assembled on the stage, sporting all black ensembles, the sharpness of the monochromatic costume accentuated by thin, gold belts and neckties. The backdrop was as fun and fresh as the vibe exuded by the group of talented singers: colorful, animated patterns, photos, and handwriting inspired letters in different colors flashing the lyrics of the song.
Singers who prefer to go solo already spend countless hours practicing and improving.
Imagine how much hard work it takes for a group to learn how to sing harmoniously together and bring out each other’s strengths.
Being part of a choir means more than just memorizing lyrics and keeping in time with the melody. It involves learning how to develop and maintain a smooth relationship with the rest of the group, accept criticism, step up to challenges, and much more.
Color Music sounds phenomenal not just because of the hours of hard work they put in, but because they share one spotlight and hold the same love for music and singing.
It comes as no surprise that Color Music easily leaves such an impact whenever they go on stage. Apart from their talent, it’s the togetherness they share that clearly brings out the best in each one. Press play and catch the happy smiles on the children’s faces as they sing with passion and eagerness, and prepare to be floored by how amazing they sound together.
