In hard times, we learn and value something incredibly precious – hope.
The threat of the Coronavirus isn’t a joke. Covid19 has changed the whole world in just a few weeks and sadly, we’re all affected by it.
Today, more than 60 million Italian citizens were advised to stay indoors to prevent the further spread of the virus. The news was devastating and even if we have already heard about the news before, none of us would truly be prepared for it.
It was devastating, business had to stop, gatherings were canceled, the city that was full of people became isolated – it was a sudden change that brought sadness to many.
Though after a few days, people began think beyond their situation and instead, they thought of ways to make it better.
The people weren’t able to go out of their homes but that doesn’t mean that they can’t spread joy, right?
A “Corona virus flash mob” went viral – people everywhere started banging pots, pans, and just singing their hearts out. Some even played the piano, trumpet and the violin.
Didie Caria is a renowned singer and song writer. He along with other musicians wanted to spread joy to everyone. What better way to do this than do sing on your own balcony?
No need for loud speakers, a microphone, or even a fancy suit – you just need to have the intention to spread joy and you’re all set to sing your hearts out.
This is exactly what Didie Caria did. He beautifully sang “Can’t help falling in love” and many of his neighbors watched and even sang with him.
Didie Caria’s beautiful song really touched so many hearts, comments poured in about how his song brought them to tears, how music touched so many hearts and how many were inspired to do the same.
Sadly, Italy has surpassed China in the number of Covid19 deaths. The latest news said that the number of deaths has already reached more than 4,000. This has made Italy the world’s deadliest center of the pandemic.
The news that we often see is heartbreaking and staying at home can actually make a person suffer from loneliness and even depression. That is why this idea is more than just beautiful – it’s a necessity for us to stay positive and hopeful.
Music has the power to heal the hearts of many and to even renew a person’s hope. Sing when you’re worn out; sing when you’re about to cry, sing when you are losing hope.
Ever since this amazing idea was announced, more and more people have participated and made an effort to “spread happiness” to everyone no matter where they are.
They may be far away from each other but the hearts that want to share and spread hope will always find a way.
Together, these people will not be defeated by the virus, instead, they will remain resilient and strong and together, they will spread happiness even in the smallest way they can.
