Yesterday, United Airlines found themselves in the public eye in a very unflattering light.
A passenger was forcefully ejected from a flight–his nose and face bloodied. And it was all captured on video, including the man’s terrified screams, and his fellow passengers asking Chicago security guards to leave him alone.
This man’s crime? Sitting in a seat that he paid for.
United Airlines had overbooked the flight, needed some free seats for staff for other flights, and decided to have paying passengers ripped out of their seats.
The internet is already dealing with this upsetting situation by attacking United Airlines within an inch of their corporate lives with scathing hot and hilarious memes.
And, while these memes will reach far and wide and touch many and possibly take a chunk out of the selfish airline, nothing compares to a good old-fashioned celebrity throwing their hat in the ring.
And that’s exactly what’s happening. America’s celebrities are tweeting their own opinions on the matter, and United is in a big heap of trouble.
