We all know that when comparing cats and dogs, cats are the more independent of the two species. A cat can keep itself busy for hours doing its own thing. Dogs, on the other hand, normally need a lot more constant attention. What is universal, however, is that both animals love to play. Although, how they play is generally pretty different.
Most cats are content climbing on their cat jungle gyms or batting around balls of yarn, and dogs prefer playing games like fetch or wrestling with their owners.
As you will see though, there are always exceptions to every rule.
While there are definitely trends among species, every pet still has its own unique personality quirks that make them special. In fact, some cats like to play just as rough as the dogs do. One cat has even invented its own unique game that it plays with its owner, and let me tell you, it is absolutely hilarious!
In an amazing video that has been going viral on Facebook, the genius cat demonstrates the exciting new hobby it has discovered for the world to see — being slid around on the floor.
First, the cat gets into position. It lays down on its side in front of its owner on the hardwood floor.
Then the owner turns the cat to angle it correctly and slides it about ten feet down the hall. What looks like animal abuse at first turns out to actually be a very fun game.
In fact, the cat loves it and can’t wait to go again!
It comes running back to the owner and once again gets in position.
It knows the drill. The owner then slides the cat down the hall, same as before. It is definitely one of the funniest things we’ve seen lately. It has an epic amount of meme potential, too. Images of cat bowling or cat shuffleboard come to mind.
Really, it’s videos like this that are what makes the Internet great.
Whenever you are having a bad day, just go watch a new cat video like this, and it’ll be guaranteed to brighten your spirits. In fact, I would say it’s virtually impossible to watch this video of the cat being slid across the floor without smiling.
With so many mental health problems going on in the world today, I propose a new solution. Instead of giving everyone antidepressants and other drugs, why don’t we just prescribe them cat videos?
It would likely go a long ways towards solving the problem. If doctors simply just ordered patients to watch one cat video per day, it is likely that worldwide depression would go down 10% overnight.
Although I definitely just invented that figure out of thin air, I dare you to watch the video below and tell me I’m not right.
