Kangaroos, as we know them, are cute, cuddly and furry little creatures that make us want to go, “Awwww!”–despite their ridiculously muscular hind legs. However, there is one kangaroo that is not like all the others. While all kangaroos are fairly muscular under all that fur and beneath their pouch, there is one in particular that puts body builders to shame.

First photographed taking a dip in a stream, this kangaroo made headlines around the world because of his insanely ripped physique. And no, we’re not just talking about some pronounced biceps and beefy thigh muscles. Rather, we’re talking muscles that can compete with the best of them, including Arnold Scwartzenegger, Terry Crews and Lou Ferrigno. And like Arnold/Terry/Lou’s muscles, this roos’ muscles are strangely human like.

The ripped creature was first spotted on October 11, 2017, when one Twitter user posted a picture of an absolutely enormous kangaroo with the caption, “Mid-water stand-off between huge kangaroo and dog near Margaret River.”

Since the photo surfaced, Twitter users have been posting things about how this “bodybuilder kangaroo…with rippling biceps and bulging veins” scares them a bit. And, well, wouldn’t you be a bit freaked out too? Australia is known for its strange critters and dangerous animal species, but never before has the Internet seen something that is normally so cute and cuddly looking so fierce looking.

Thanks to Jackson Vincent and his dog, the world now knows that not all kangaroos are cute and fuzzy. Jackson was walking his pooch when he decided to take a picture of his dog next to the creek. He turned around for his camera and when he turned back around, his dog was barking at something in the water. Slowly, something started to rise out of the water. Jackson realized it was a kangaroo, but as it began to puff up its chest–as kangaroos do when they sense danger–he realized something else: that this was no ordinary roo.

The kangaroo Jackson and his dog faced did not look friendly or playful. Rather, it was huge–with bulging muscles and popping veins–and looked eager to fight. Jackson snapped a few photos (for the Internet’s sake, of course), then took his pup and got on his merry way.

The Internet is loving this new version of the kanga and hope to see more of his kind surface in the outback.
