Brother and sister steal the show with Italian opera Celine Dion cover
Their performance gave me chills. The cover featuring Italian opera with Andrea Bocelli is difficult to replicate for the untrained ear. These two take it on with professional skill.

Itโ€™s been said that you donโ€™t really appreciate your siblings until you get older.

When youโ€™re young, theyโ€™re just there, in your way, or on your last nerve, and it can be easy to take them for granted.

But as you age, you begin to see the benefits of having siblings.

They know you in a way that few others can because they have been with you during your most formative years. They saw the same things as you, weathered the same storms, and dealt with the same family issues and triumphs.

So when Anna and her brother decide to come together and sing a beautiful song at her wedding, it sends chills throughout the crowd.

But this collaboration wasnโ€™t always possible for these two siblings.

As her brother points out before they sing their song, โ€œWhat you may not know is that we have a little battleโ€“I love to sing opera, she loves not to sing opera.โ€

You can begin to imagine that growing up, these two didnโ€™t always see eye to eye on things.

And whatโ€™s great about this performance, is that rather than just putting their differences aside and having one sibling accommodate the other in what they are going to sing, they actually choose a song that brings both of their styles together.

And it works out perfectly.

It draws you into their reality of a sibling rivalry-turned-appreciation with age.

Of course, this song is meant to be dedicated to Anna and her new husbandโ€“to a new life shared in love.

But marriage affects more than just the two people that it binds.

Itโ€™s a huge milestone for everyone in the family.

Itโ€™s a father giving away his daughter to another man.

Itโ€™s a mother witnessing her daughter stepping further into womanhood.

Itโ€™s a brother watching his childhood sister branch off and begin her own family.

So even though the song was dedicated to Anna and her husband, itโ€™s also a dedication to the familial relationships that she shared along the wayโ€“brother and sister, mother and child, father and daughter.

Anna writes, โ€œโ€˜The Prayerโ€™ was an answer to my prayer. Growing up my brother and I had a difficult time connecting with each otherโ€™s musical stylesโ€ฆ We shared the same passion and love for the language of music, we just couldnโ€™t figure out how to communicate with it.โ€

When she finally found a song that they could connect on, it created fireworks.

It was the culmination of their differences as siblings coming together into one beautiful blended work of artโ€“ a reminder that itโ€™s, in fact, our individually that unites us as one.

And this performance is more than just a beautiful moment in sibling appreciation.

Itโ€™s an example of how nurturing positive relationships with your siblings can benefit your overall health.

One study found that โ€œthose with poor social connections had on average 50% higher odds of deathโ€ฆโ€

And not only does it benefit your overall health, but it can also help you become an overall better person.

Another study found that having siblings may help you develop sympathy.

So yes this moment is beautiful to watch and listen to, but you can take it as a lesson as well.

Try using it as motivation to bring meaningful connections back into those relationships that mean the most to you.
