Crocheting isn’t just for older generations. It’s a timeless craft and relaxing pastime that allows you to create beautiful accessories and things to make your house nice and cozy.
One of the best things about crocheting is that there are all different types of stitches that give you completely different looks.
One unique stitch is the broomstick lace stitch. Also, known as the jiffy stick or the peacock eye stitch.
The stitch gets it name “broomstick” because it involves using a crochet hook to pull tall loops of yarn onto a dowel. The dowel is the “broomstick.” The loops are then stretched left to right in a row and then looped together in bunches by a single stitch.
It ends up forming a beautiful circular shape.
