This newly wed couple in Romania had a fun surprise for their wedding guests at the reception.
Instead of a traditional first dance to a slow song, these two choreographed an energetic swing routine!
Dancing to Benny Goodman’s iconic song, Sing, Sing, Sing, the bride and groom start on either side of the floor with their guests gathered around.
They look the part – the bride has chosen the perfect dress! Not only is it a stunning white wedding dress, but it flares perfectly as they spin around the dance floor.
The groom in his suspenders and bow tie also looks like something straight out of the 1920s or 30s.
They float around the dance floor, and are obviously having tons of fun together! Multiple cameras are set up to get different angles and capture all the best shots from the routine.
They’re energy must be a mix between the high of being newly married and finally performing this routine they must have been working on for ages.
They aren’t professional dancers, they’re just a duo with a zest for life.
Their guests all look on, looking extremely proud. Especially a couple standing at the front of the room who must be the best man and maid of honour.
Suddenly the groom appears with a small flower behind his back and presents it to his new wife.
It’s so innocent and sweet! I like to believe it’s a symbol to represent an early stage in their relationship.
One of the most stunning moments (though, there are many) is a grand dip!
The crowd is cheering and clapping along to the music.
There are also some amazing jumps, spins, and one moment where the groom steps over the bride.
Whenever the newly wed wife spins all the way around, her dress lifts enough to show off her white stockings and garter belt. A fun touch to the already chic wedding swing dance outfit!
The grand finale makes a splash with a big backwards trust fall where the bride kicks her leg straight up in the air on the final note.
Everyone in the room goes wild as the bride and groom take their final bows, and someone even throws a hat onto the dance floor.
Viewers from all over the world left cheerful comments on the video, congratulating the new couple and applauding their dance routine.
There was also a troop of commenters focused on the now – and how 2020 should mean the return of swing dance and the “roaring 20s”.
Forget all the mumble rappers and twerking – bring back classic jazz!
I’m in favor of this movement, and it seems this funky Romanian couple would agree!
Adrian Pandaru, who posted this video and is the groom featured in the post, captioned it with:
“This dance is pretty much like us, crazy and not at all perfect.”
But it seems pretty perfect to me!
How beautiful that he and his bride are able to take on such ambitious activities and learn something new together.
